(Dealing with some pretty disgusting people at times, learning to engage verbally to handle people but also getting hands on. If you can't handle something like this, sure lets you know you won't like EMS/Police) Can PM for questions. (I'm not a recruiter, but can answer some questions and point the path if intersted.)

After just ending a ten year career (on great terms), to return to school full time this summer, I'm looking for something relatively low stress to keep me busy until then. I'm looking to make a minimum of $1,500 a month but won't turn away more. Something with a flexible schedule would be nice, and the employer needs to be okay with me leaving for school in June.
The bulk of my experience is in corrections, but I've also got general labor skills, customer service skills, and although I've got no formal training I'm very mechanically inclined. Either way I'm a quick learner and very motivated.
Maybe you've got a business or shop you could use an extra broom pusher in for a few months? Willing to travel within the metro area. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for sub-contractors and part time employees – pt positions anywhere from 20-30 hours per week with potential to go into full time position that would include benefits for the right person.
Wanted to throw this out to the CO-AR community, as I can use all the help I can get.
At 56 I'm starting to look for work again.
I have done document control/records & database management for a couple decades. Lost a perm job during a merger at an engineering firm 5 years ago and have been working contract at an electrical provider in Westminster since-hoping to eventually go perm. After 5+ years that doesn't look like that will be the case. Sadly the only offers I've been getting are more contract/temp and/or 32 hour a week offers. I like what I do but I'd be very receptive to a career change to a perm position if I could still make ends meet.
I'm also very familiar with manufacturing and assembly lines, clean rooms and warehouse environments having produced mechanical build instructions for years and wouldn't mind manufacturing/assembly work. I'm comfortable with tools. I'm not in the best shape however, knees really stiffen up after a couple hours of being on my feet-I can only stand for a few hours at a time.
If anyone had any insights, let me know. I'm serious about moving on. I have a good resume, job history and great references.
Thanks for looking.

The company I wok for is hiring experienced heavy equipment operators, pipe layers, and are in need of a pipe foreman. We are presently getting about 45-50 hours a week when we get the weather. We need one guy for the earthwork dept who is a skilled skid steer operator. The utility department could add a whole crew. Wage is from $18-mid twenties based on skill. Upper twenties for foreman. OSHA competency in trenching and excavating is a plus, otherwise I'll send you to a class. If you can plan your way through a week, take responsibility for others, and come to work every day, you could make a good living.
Oh yeah, the work is occasionally very hard, high stress, and you can't be a p$;)y or it's not for you. Hot, you betcha. Cold. Hell yeah. Muddy? We got that too. If you like dust in your eyes and black boogers this is the perfect job for you.
edit. If you are a female tough enough to do the work, you'll be hired as well. The p comment is about weak men.

My company is looking to hire a guy to work in the metro area as a Ladder Assist technician. To start off with, the following quote also applies to this job, but it involves ladders and heights instead of heavy equipment.
Oh yeah, the work is occasionally very hard, high stress, and you can't be a p$;)y or it's not for you. Hot, you betcha. Cold. Hell yeah. Muddy? We got that too. If you like dust in your eyes and black boogers this is the perfect job for you.
As a ladder assist your job is to meet with insurance adjusters, as well as the insureds, contractors, etc and use your tall ladder to help the adjusters access parts of the roof that are too tall to reach with the 13'-17' ladders that they carry. Most adjusters are restricted from being on roofs over 7/12 for wood shake, and 8/12 for composition shingles. Some companies restrict adjusters to single story only as well. At each roof you'll get onto the roof, document and photograph:
Shingle type and how many layers
Presence of drip edge
Presence of Ice and Water shield/felt/valley metal
How many and which type of roof protrusion (box vent, turbine vent, pipe jack, skylight, roof window, exhaust vent, ridge vent, etc)
Identify and record all types of damage. You're mostly looking for wind, hail, mechanical, animal, manufacturer defect
Diagram and measure roof
Prepare a short report to be presented to adjuster on site
Roofing/construction experience is helpful but not required. They don't want to hire any more adjusters, but are currently on a kick of hiring former police officers (serious).
You'll need reliable transportation that can carry a 32' ladder.
NOTHING is provided for by the company. You must provide your own ladders, tool belts, Cougar Paws, tape measure, climbing harness, ropes, bungee cords, cameras, printers.
You must have an LLC.
If you are not great with heights, are unreasonably afraid of bees, wasps, or dogs, are not presentable, professional, or polite, have trouble with geometry level math, are late to work or frequently have "something come up," then this job will not be for you.
My 32' ladder weighs 65lbs. You'll need to be able to load and unload your ladder and carry it around, often above your head and in tight areas, frequently.
We're looking for someone right away, and someone who lives South of I-70 would be fantastic, but not required.
I can't really say how much you get paid because you won't be working when there is snow on the roof or while it is raining, but if anyone is interested, I'll share my weekly paystubs with you so you can get an idea.
Finally, this is 100% contract work. You'd be paid weekly and sent a 1099 at the end of the year. This mean that taxes are NOT taken out of your check and you are responsible for saving enough money to pay your taxes at the end of the year. You are more or less self employed and contracting yourself out. Contact me if you're interested. It's a pretty fun job, with the biggest stress point being the scheduling and trying to be all over town at the same time, which is why we're looking for someone in the first place.

Helping a colleague look for a surveillance investigator.
The prospective PI:
-must have experience (at least 1 year of full-time surveillance work, not just be a video monkey)
-must have a reliable surveillance vehicle with proper window tint
-must be bonded & licensed through DORA and have E&O Insurance
-must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, cold days, hot days, snowy days, rainy days, etc. This is not a 9-5 job.
-must be able to write comprehensive reports with a 48-hour turnaround
PI2 preferred, although PI1 with the right attitude will be considered. Probation period required as a subcontractor first before employment considered.
This is a very good company to work for. My colleagues have been burned by slackers and Millennials in the past, so are gun-shy. They could really use an employee- their business is growing by leaps and bounds. If you're a hard-working PI2 that's skilled in surveillance and is looking for a great company to work for, PM me.

All good things must come to an end. My top notch mechanic has chosen to waste his life and go to engineering school, rather than live the glorious and rewarding life of a motorcycle mechanic.[ROFL1] SO, I am looking for a mechanically adept person to train as a mechanic. Preferably someone that is into motorcycles already, and has basic metric and standard tools (specialty tools provided). Good problem solving skills and strong work ethic are preferred. Pay dependent on experience. Hours will be part time until mid March, then 6 days a week until September. If you are interested or know someone who might be (students seem to do well in this position), please call me at 303-216-2400.

Anyone in the medical field have a line on a midlevel provider job? My wife is a newly minted PA-C and is really struggling to break into the industry without that first year of experience. We're currently based in the springs, but we'd consider offers from Pueblo to Denver, or even further for the right job. She has the most clinical experience (her school did 12 months of rotations) and interest in primary care, women's health, and pediatrics.
Also, my work is looking to hire an electrical engineer with a PE, we do MEP engineering work for lots of commercial and government projects all over the state and beyond. It's a mid size well established firm, but this is a branch office that is relatively small. Pay and benefits would be competitive.
I'll be checking this thread, or email works if you want to contact me.

What is with that?
In SW Littleton area there is an emergency clinic popping up on every corner.
Is it attributable to ACA?
I don't see many cars at them, and when we rushed to Swedish ER near Wadsworth and Bowles for symptoms of a heart attack, we had 4 professionals helping us immediately.
The bill was huge, but our Insurance beat them down to something reasonable and our co-pay was manageable.

Need to have somewhere for all the illegals to go for taxpayer funded care since the hospital ER's are full.

She has checked at Sky Ridge and a bunch of the clinics in that area, the ones that have answered the phone or ever called back (less than half of the people she calls), most of them aren’t hiring at all, and a few “might be hiring in 6 months, send me your resume for my files.”
It’s been a very frustrating journey. Thanks for the tip, though.

You’d think that the medical industry would be booming, and that it would be easy for a qualified licensed professional to get a job, but I’ve never seen anyone work harder to find/get a job than my wife is working. I’m just trying to do my part, keep the lights on, and help out how I can.

... not sure what happened to my other post, so here goes again.
I'll ask my wife if she has any helpful info.
FWIW, my PC doc left a small private practice due to O-care. I've never even seen the one doc left there and always see one of the two PA-C. One is pretty young and I think was brought in to replace another that retired. I wonder if O-care has done so much damage to the small practices, that it's having an effect on the PA-C and NP positions?
FWIW, at another specialist provider I see, I generally only ever see the NP. Truth be told, I'd rather see her than the doc that's there.

I think O-care has had a profound effect on the industry as a whole, I think lots of people are leaving the industry due to it, but I also think that there are a lot more businesses participating in the industry as well. My thinking is that ocare is driving some of that, but the demand for medical services is higher now than it ever has been simply because there are more people than ever before.
I think the roadblock in front of her right now is partially of our own construction; She went to school in Texas and did all of her clinical rotations in Texas, so all of her networking is in Texas. She even had job offers stemming from some of her rotations. We knew we wanted to move home to CO, so as soon as she graduated we packed up everything and moved, thinking “oh she’ll have no trouble getting a job.”
I also think some of the problem is that CO is such a nice place to live that the market is a bit flooded, so she’s behind two roadblocks.
Thanks everyone for the tips, I’m forwarding them to her to check out.
Good news!
Today she received and accepted an offer with a local family medical practice that is 6 minutes from our apartment. She shadowed for a half day last week and really loved the clinic and the other providers there, so it sounds fantastic so far.
Thanks again everyone!

I am looking for an EXPERIENCED motorcycle service writer. Ideally I would want to hire come February and train for our protocols and be ready to go when the season kicks off in March/April. However, if the right person were step up now with the right EXPERIENCE, I would seriously consider bringing that person on now and carry through the winter.
This is a full time salaried position, 5 day work week, benefits, performance based commission, short hours in the off season and long hours running at redline in season. Must have a motorcycle endorsement on your driver license, clean DMV. I will want references to check you out. If you are not willing to work, don't apply.
We carry BMW, Ducati, Triumph motorcycles and BRP/Can Am ATV, Side X Side, Sea Doo and Spyder Roadster product lines. Apply through our website: http://www.nocopowersports.us/
You can PM me as well for consideration.

I'm not having much luck with Indeed, so I figured I'd check here.
I'm really interested in moving into a firearms related career. I've got 25 years experience in graphic arts, marketing, photography, videography, graphic design, website creation, social media management and more. I love working with clients directly, in both a sales and support role, as well as public speaking and training. I enjoy entreprenurial situations (in my current role, I launched a new division of our company from a concept I pitched in my job interview), and I don't require direct supervision. I would love to work around the Erie area, but I have been commuting to Denver for the past 7 years and I am willing to continue doing so.
If you're looking for someone to help grow a business, I'm an excellent choice. If you know someone I could help out, I'd be grateful for the introduction.

What, it took them 15 - 20 years to get Wyatt, think of all the cash you could have in that amount of time. Just don’t start a reality show and tape your shady deals, and you will be fine. ;)
Zack O's thread reminded me of this one.
You still looking for HE operators?
