I spent a few hours this morning trying to clean up the old Squaw Pass shooting area. I had planned on raking up bags of brass and hulls, but there was so much large debris, I filled up my truck with that. Does anyone have a dumpster I could unload this into? I gotta get rid of it before the wife gets home, or I'm in trouble! Please PM me if you can help. Thanks!

Mission Accomplished. As a note, if you guys need to dump the crap that you collect from up there, my shop is right near 6th and I-70, just drop me a PM here. The dumpster here is rarely full, and the trash guys aren't stuffy about taking unconventional crap.

Who knows...maybe I'll get to shoot there someday. [ROFL1]

Seriously, if anyone wants to haul that shit to my shop, they're more than welcome to use the dumpster. I'm always there Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I take Wednesdays and Sundays off in the winter, Sundays only in the summer. I'll even help unload it.

So you're wife doesn't approve of your picking up trash when you go out?
Funny you say that. She actually asked me why I was cleaning up a mountainside instead of my garage, yard, or house. But no, she doesn't mind me picking up trash, she just doesn't want me to bring it home!

..... I'll even help unload it.
Yes, he will!

I was really bummed at the mess up there. 4 TV's, a car door, 2 BBQ grills, 8-10 electronic boxes (computers, DVD/VCR players, a sound board), cast iron pipes, tons of scrap metal pieces, a door, chunks of styrofoam, and lots of wood, cardboard and paper. I got most of the big stuff, but there's still a whole day's worth of raking up brass & hulls.

Just an FYI.... scrap brass is around $2 a pound right now. A five gallon bucket full usually weighs around 55 lbs. depending on the rifle to pistol brass ratio.

Anyways, raking up a bucket or two of brass might be worth your while. [Awesom]

Here's to you guys--well done sir--probably saved a shooting site for other litter bugs to enjoy, huh? Do what you guys do myself and always keep spare trash bags in my truck. Every year i shoot carp at Lake Henry, i bet i pick up 50 lbs. of crap along the dikes--ESPECIALLY BEER CANS and BOTTLES. Gettin' tired of it though! Don't mind picking up the trash on the ranches i hunt though...at least not as much.
