Hello Everyone. New member here.
I've been a long-time lurker, first-time joiner. I appreciate all the shared advice and information on this forum, and figured it was time to make it formal.
I live south of Denver, and have a Colt M4 that I'm always "perfecting" (never done, of course) and a big fan of Sig pistols (P220 Carry SAO, P229 .40 S&W and P238) and 1911s. Still have a Mini-14 that my dad gave me 30 years ago, and it still shoots straight and reliably.
Hope to participate in future discussions, and always looking to learn.

Hello
Welcome! i have my first Sig on the way, 229 Equinox.
Welcome! i have my first Sig on the way, 229 Equinox.
I have that exact gun, and you are going to love it! Extremely accurate, and the short reset trigger is fantastic. I am normally a single-action kind of guy, but the P229 Equinox's DA/SA is so smooth, it was very easy to train up to.
The only problem I had was that the front tru-glo tritium site had a bad habit of coming out when subjected to heavy use. My brother has the same pistol, and the same problem with the front sight. I understand the problem has been fixed by Sig, but I simply replaced mine with new Trijicon HD sights. The Trijicons are great combat sights, super-easy to acquire (especially for a dude like me approaching 50), and they glow bright at night.
My next step on it will be to get a .357 Sig barrel for it, so I can shoot that in addition to .40 S&W.
Let us know what you think when you get it!
