Burnt Bronze AR Build

[BUC303]

I was back and forth with what my next build would consist of for over a year. I have always liked my black guns black, but FDE was beginning to grow on me. After accumulating most of the parts needed to complete the build, I decided FDE would have to wait. I called a couple of local Cerakote companies and went with a Burnt Bronze coating. The first one to respond was Matt of Sawtooth Rifles (emailed 3 places Matt got back to me in about an hour, the next guy was 4 days later after Matt had already started the coating and I'm still waiting to hear back from the last guy haha). It was a bit of a drive in Ft. Collins but I had some work going on in Loveland so the additional 15 minutes wasn't a big deal. Here are the build specs:

Lower:
Spikes tactical "Spider" Lower receiver
Spikes LPK
Spikes Trigger Guard
Spikes ST-T2 buffer
Magpul MOE grip
Magpul ACS-L stock
Timney 3 lb. trigger
KNS anti-rotation pins

Upper:
Larue Tactical Stealth 16" Upper receiver with 12" handguard
Surefire MB556k Brake
YHM dual peep flip up sights

Without the mag it weighs in at 7lbs. 15oz., the sites arrived last night so I have not had a chance to shoot it yet either.

You will have to excuse these pictures as they were taken from my phone and do not do the rifle justice, the vertical side shot picture is the closest to the actual color. The wife's camera took a drunken tumble on Thanksgiving thanks to some rowdy in laws and is currently being repaired, I'll try to get some better pictures when it returns.
