View Full Version : Best place to buy 5.56 boolits?
Hey guys, I am just getting into reloading and am looking for the best place to buy 5.56 plinking and SHTF bullets. I just started buying my .45 and .40 plinking bullets through Montana Gold as I have heard good things about them, but they don't offer rifle rounds. I guess while I am at it does anyone have a preferred vendor and brand for large quantities of hollow point pistol bullets?
With all the bad happing in our government and the world I am starting to stress about how far behind I am on my preps. Just listened to the GunDudes latest podcast and they had a prepper/SHTF fictional author on. Pretty good stuff if you want to freak yourself out. Living on the 11th story of a downtown apartment sucks when you are trying to prep. Can't wait until I can buy a duplex this March.

Always a good place to look, but his inventory changes constantly. Best to call and see if he has what you want. Good people, I've bought there many times. http://www.polygunbag.com/bullets.html

You've been given some good references upthread for Montana Gold, Powder Valley and Wideners. The other online site to check out would be Graf & Sons (www.grafs.com). If you want to try locally, then you should call Dad's Wholesale in North Denver (303-287-0989). They normally have the Hornady 55gr FMJ bullets for a good price.
