Anyone know someone who will do a transfer cheap? My old gunsmith from the springs finally got my 1911 work done, I just don't have the time to get down there. I just have no reason to just head to COS from Loveland for a 5 hour round trip for 1 thing.

You could try giving Gina a call @ Elk Bomb Shooting Supplies in Milliken - (970) 587-9611 They've treated me right over there, great folks.
Can't he send it to you directly since you own the gun? In the past I've always had gunsmiths return firearms directly to me.

Last I knew Bargain Hunter on Mulberry does $10 ffl.

Awesome I didn't know that. I figured anytime a gun goes into the mail it HAS to go to an FFL. I just don't want any issues with the law which is why I wanted to go through an FFL originally.

Do not Quote me on this as I am not a gun smith nor do I have the ATF regs in front of me, but as a manufacture; if you send your defective firearm to me for repair I can send it right back to you without the use of your local FFL. I believe it is the same for the gun smith, call him and ask him.,,,,,,

This is good info. Thanks to a recent poor experience at Jensen Arms I'm now looking for a local FFL to handle my firearm transfers and probably also gain my business while I'm in the store. Details to be added to the Jensen Arms thread shortly...

Like the many comments above, don't think you need to ship through an ffl. If you are going to use one, I use Gilcrest farm store. 15.00 per order. Call John 970-737-2916.
You in fact do not need to ship through an ffl
