Anybody participate in food co-ops?

We have started participating in the Bountiful Baskets food co-op. Picked up our first "basket" yesterday afternoon. For the cost and product we received, we are pleased and plan on regular participation.

3 persimmons
1 large papaya
2 lbs apples
2 lbs bananas
1 mini watermelon
1 cantaloupe
half dozen roma tomatoes
half pound mushrooms
big bunch romaine lettuce

Some strict rules but sounds good.(20min pickup window, if not it's donated.) Kinda a picky eater and a lucky <1% of people allergic to mushrooms so it might not work for me.

Providing you eat what they offer. Outside the lettuce, carrots & apples, everything would go to waste, Or bartered off.
We have looked at a few different offerings and unfortunately 40-50% of what is in their package we do not eat, bummer.

I am lucky, no food allergies and I eat most anything normal people would call food. Helps that my wife is incredible cook. Saw that several people were doing some swapping of items.

Door To Door Organics and Grant Family Farms here. Long Family Farms for meats.

I'm not real thrilled when the brussel sprout crop comes in.
