View Full Version : Can't Type a New Post from iPad

Hey J,

I was on my iPad last night and I went to post a new thread in the "wanted" section, and when the page loaded up completely, the space to type the body of the post had disappeared and I couldn't type anything. I could give it a title, but couldn't type the main body message of the post.

Of course, I came here to make a post to tell you about the problem, but of course, I still couldn't post a new thread. [Bang]

Any ideas? I don't have the latest iOS and I don't plan on upgrading. I never had this issue with the old site, so I suspect it is something with the page code that isn't loading correctly on the iPad.

It works fine on my ipad. But sometimes when I tried to type on certain window, the keyboard pops up and disappeared right away. I just have to refresh.

Yep. I have an iPad 1 and its updated. Works fine. You might have a to nod apps open too and it's overloading the processor. Double click the circle button on the front and this will show all the apps you have open in a list at the bottom of he screen. Then tap and hold on one of the app icons. They should wiggle and give you an 'x' on the icons to close the ones you are not using. Close everything you are not using and it will free up the processor.

IPad I here with no updates. Go to the bottom left of this forum page to the quick style chooser, simple blue seems to function well with my iPad.

Okay, I've restarted the iPad, I've closed apps and freed up processor power, I've changed the forum style... nothing seems to be working. The box to type your message in (this is the same for new threads or for replies) shows up and then disappears as soon as the page is done loading. It doesn't have to do with the keyboard popping up and refreshing doesn't fix it. Help!

I think when that happens, in the IT business, they rule the problem as 'Operator Error' [Poke]

Kwando, I don't have chrome on my iPad, and have no need for it.
