View Full Version : Guns in Walmart..
I was talking to my buddy who lives in AZ and he was telling me that they have AR's up the waazoo in the Walmart's there. I got curious and decided to venture into my local Walmart. I usually dont enter places where I'm inundated with hairy butt cracks and persons who smell like cabbage, but I did. And there was nothing. I'm assuming there was nothing in my Walmart because I live in Denver. Do other Walmart stores, outside of Denver, carry guns? I've read that they have reasonable prices.. Just curious here. If there is a Walmart up towards Thorton, Brighton, etc that does I would like to know.
Different Walmarts carry different stock. For ex the walmart on 119 & I25 in longmont carrys ammo. Go a few miles north to the Loveland walmart and they carry guns and ammo, including M855 420 round cases. They spend a ton of money to find out what a community will tolerate being sold there and what can be sold there.

hop on their website and see what all they carry, you'll be suprised
The Walmart close to me (Woodmen and Powers in Colo Springs) carry Rem 700, Ruger 10-22, Shotguns, Level Action Rifles, AR's, al kind of ammo, etc but everything are Long Guns, not HandGuns. I have 2 month making some research for the best price for my new Remington 870 18.5 w/tube extension and no one (including GunBroker or here in the forum) have a better price $342

Step outside Denver boundary, you'd be surprise how much freedom you've missed.
Sounds like the springs or loveland is the place to be.
I've found that that further you get ouside of Denver, the more guns/ ammo Walmart carries. Off 92nd and Grant, they have a small carosel with a small assortment of (maybe 12-15) weapons. The Walmart up in Craig had a selection (AR's to $1200 shotguns) that rivals several local gun shops.
Wal-Mart at 94th and Grant in Thornton carries guns. None of the other stores in the north metro area carry anything other than ammunition as far as I know.

The ACE Hardware in Loveland (down form Jensen Arms) has a pretty decent seletion too!

Orchards Ace, is the place. Their used / consignment selection usually has some decent priced guns.
I'm waiting for them to email me about that 870 Tactical. Their price is cheaper than I can get it for. And I'm an FFL.

The Walmart in Ft Morgan carries about 20 guns in their two carousels. AR's, shotguns, rifles, youth rifles and shotguns. Good selection of cheap ammo.

The only local Denver one I know of that actually carries guns is the one off of C470 and Bowles. Supposedly the Parker on is going to get them after the first of the year.

Guess that's a perk of being able the company... I mean to buy in bulk
when I was tdy to Alaska the Wal-mart there had a larger and better gun selection than most gun shops.

Cheyenne has Colt 6920's for $1050.
You should always carry guns in a wal-mart who knows when you may be atacked by a hairy, spandex wearing transexual, mullet haired zombie...
Neather of the wally worlds in Greeley carry guns and it is hit and miss if they have 45 ACPs.

The Walmart in Timnath at I25 and Harmony Rd. has guns including AR-15's. Can't get any of the 9mm Federal value packs as the store employees buy up the limited amount whenever they get it in.

The castle rock WM had Colt, Bushmaster, Windham and another AR i can't remember on Saturday. It wasn't the sig, but it said it was a .223 "plinker"--it may have been DPMS. If you're out on the plains, the Sterling WM usually has a good selection, too.

Just a week ago, the Super Walmart on the corner of Palmer Park and Powers in Springs had a couple AR's but didn't have much ammo.[blaster]

The store at C-470 and Bowles in Littleton had a Colt 6920, along with spots for a Bushy and a SIG M400 last time I was there.

I can also confirm that there are AR's for sale at Walmarts here in the Phoenix metro. A friend of mine just bought one from there a few weeks back.
The north Wal-Mart in Longmont has guns and ammo. Hwy 287 and Hwy 66

I picked up another 6920 at that store last week. They still had a Magpul Colt, a DPMS, a Windham, and a Sig (I think) in stock.
One on 94th and Grant had both a regular 5.56 AR and the .308 Sporting Rifle.

Did Walmart quit carrying AR's? I havent seen them restock.
They may not be able to get them.
Walmart is buying from the same manufacturers as the rest of the world. Lots of luck finding them anywhere.

Have you been aware of the nationwide AR shortage? If you can't find one at Walmart, just go to your local gun store--I'm sure they'll have tons for you to chose from
Huh...my local walmart had about 8 of them yesterday. Welp, good luck.

Walmart in Woodlank park (had) a pretty good selection of rifles, including ARs. My boy told me he stopped in there the other day and was told the waiting list is over a year now. Not sure how valid that is, but it's what he was told

I believe they said airsoft on the side, not sure. is that a good brand?

Try Ft Collins Co. I was in there last week. The guys were Ok. Said they would call me when a type of gun comes in. Very low on shells as every place in Ft Collins. It is just off I-25 1st exit going north. East side of I-25
