View Full Version : No 10mm Interest??

It seems with the lack if interest in the 10mm that someone here might have one around collecting dust. If you do happen to have that used glock 20 let me know. I'm dying to get my hands on one. Looked over the glock 20 at Sportsmans Warehouse. Just the regular sights (no night sights) model is 550.00 before taxes. What kind of a deal do you think that is?
Seems like full house 10mm loads in a glock 20 with 16+1 mag. Seems good for just about anything. How can I go on without one?

Thanks

You can't, Deal seems about right. A little high for a used one, I think I paid about that for mine about 7 years ago. How "used" does it look?
The only drawback about it is the cost of ammo.

Oh, and the only Pistol/Revolver that I can shoot more accurately at longer {100+ yrds} Ranges, is My scoped .454 Casull.

And if you look at MidwayUSA December flyer there is a drop in 9x25 Dillon barrel and ammo that makes it a 9mm laser. This cartridge can only be shot in the 10mm frame and is basicly a 10mm necked down to 9mm, kinda like a 357 Sig, but makes the 357 Sig look like a pea shooter.

Try 2100ft/sec compared to 1500ft/sec in COR-BON 357 Sig ammo.

There are a bunch of us who like 10mm, but would never part with our guns.
I own a gen 1 Glock 20, Delta Elite and an Olympic Arms AR upper chambered in 10mm.

Love my g29 for ccw... I can save you a few bucks on that SW g20 price if you ever make it up north towards Westminster.

Hey Dave, Bring that G29 to a shoot sometime, I'd like to try it out.[Awesom]

10MM is good to go, I like the round and the options available in the G20.

1.15+ rounds-(I get 19+1 with Arrendondo base bads in 10mm and 40 S&W)
2.would rather have this in the mountains than a 6 shooter 629 in 44 mag any day
3.almost the velocity/power. as 44 mag
4.6" barrel available for increased velocity-mine shoots 180 grn. XTP's @ 1350 FPS in 10mm
5.convertible to .40 S&W for "SUPER SOFT" shooting"

Later dudes-J

If and when the Glock 20 SF and or the 29 SF show up, I'll try very hard to grab one or both.

I just joined the club with a Glock 20 I received for my birthday!!! With Glocks reputation, 15+1 rounds and incredible stopping power it will be my first choice if I am going to be in a gunfight. The only bummer is, the ammo seems kind of expensive ($24 for 50 rounds of American Eagle). I can’t wait to try it out Monday morning.

Mista Bukit,
Buy a Lee 1000 Pro progressive pistol press in 10mm and stock up on bullets and brass.
Shooting the 10mm is just as inexpensive as any other cartridge like the 9mm if you reload.

They usually have factory re-man units w/ dies, powder measure, etc complete for $99

The larger the reloading component quantities that you buy the cheaper per round it becomes. (Glock does not recommend using cast bullets) I personally practice with my 10mm using Ranier copper plated cast bullets.

One other note: My personal experience has since kept me away from Starline brass.(It is the least expensive) I now use Win and Federal. New Winny is about $120/500

Once fired will work also:

$65/500

Thanks for the information, I went to the gunshow this morning and all I could find was 2 50 round boxes of brass.

Curious on why you now avoid Starline brass if I may ask?? You can reply via PM if you prefer.

I have not read anything negative to date on their brass and know Double Tap was using them for their 10mm loads as well... I was thinking about ordering some @ $128/1000 not including s/h direct from them so appreciate your feedback negative or positive. Thanks.

Good job Mista, I picked up one for a birthday pressent to myself a couple of years ago. The bad thing is you can't just buy one Glock.

It's my birthday on the 13th and went to Sportsmans to buy my G20. They were out of those and no idea when more will be in stock. Next looked at a guide gun but they want over 600 for a stainless these days. Next was on to a SP101. Actually walked out with a TC Encore. I think I may have a serious gun to income problem here.
