Picked up a DPMS LPK at the Tanner show at the beginning of the month, and just placed my order for a stripped lower for $85 shipped, courtesy of Kiser Munitions! Joe over at Kiser has been a ton of help for me, consistenly quickly replying to my emails as I asked question after question, and I wouldnt hesitate to do business with him again!

I am ready to start compiling parts for my first build. Essential arms has forged stripped lowers for $77.
High Country guns is close to me, says he will do FFL xfer for $45 (includes bg check).

Seems fair to me, just wondering if anyone knows of a better deal for xfers.

Also, going to do a Del-Ton upper 20". It has a chrome moly barrel vs chrome lined. Any feedback on longevity/break-in procedures?

Thanks for your help

Wow... that's the highest transfer fee I have ever heard of! I pay $35 at my dealer in Englewood and thought I was getting ripped off.

Try the guy below... IIFC he charges $20 (or maybe it's $25).

Does that mean I should start charging $40+ since I'm only at $25 now~!

No... cause you're one of the good guys Alan!

I really wish there was somebody in the southern metro area who would do transfers for a decent price.

Thanks for the info re: ProTek. Just what I was looking for!!

Hey, Ridge-
What do you have planned for your upper? (style, mfg, cal, barrel, etc)
and did you find any smokin' deals?

Just curious.

LariatBob
Oh, and sorry, didn't intend to hijack your thread!!

No probs :)

I found an M4 upper on ARFCOM for $230 shipped, minus the BCG, but its an SBR, so Im looking at fabbing up a fake silencer to attach to pass the 16" mark on the barrel...

I was under the impression from the forums at Arfcom that since Colorado is a "free" state you could have an sbr if you wanted one. No rules against it. Don't know for sure, but you might search the forums for more info. Of course, I have no idea and the rules seem pretty cloudy to me, so I might just be blowin smoke.

You can, but there is the $200 fee...

Looks like a keeper![Beer]

But that $200 tax stamp gives you soo many more options.
