View Full Version : Anyone Running This Burris Combo or Similar
16585
In looking for a good optic to put on my new coyote AR I ran across this Burris combo. Burris 4.5-14x32 Timberline Scope, Burris P.E.P.R. mount, and a Burris Fastfire mounted on top. Having the long distance ability with the fast aquisition from the red dot seems like an awesome deal to me. Is anyone running a setup similar to this? Is it worth the extra money to put the fastfire on top?
Thanks
Stay away from the Timberline scope. It is absolute junk. When I worked at Burris repairing scopes, Those were replaced more than any other scope I saw. But if you like having to use the warranty repeatedly, then it is a good deal.
The Fastfire is good to go though.
I would spend the extra money on a Fullfield 4.5-14 scope. Way better than the Timberline.
What do you think of the P.E.P.R mount

I have the pepr qd mount on two rifles. I dropped onne out of my truck and the scope hit the pavement. Still zeroed
The PEPR mount is a good mount. I have no experience with the QD mounts though. I personally prefer the regular style mounting though.
Looks like the Fullfield II and the Fullfield II E1 are the same price. Reading about them it looks like the E1 is an updated version with windage dots. Sounds like that is the one I will go with. Any known problems with the E1?
No problems with the E1. It is an updated version of the old model.
Thanks JMG. I will order this today. Burris is running a $50 mail in rebate and Sportsmans is running a $50 discount for anything over $250. That will drop it down to $249. Not too bad.

I have an extra FF2 sitting with the rest of my "spare"optics, just swapped it for a FF3 Spousal unit has a MTAC with FF2, ditto for a LMT back up AR i have.
