Being new to the site-where are the club shoots held ? North would be my area.

I'd like to make to the shoot (NORTH) on Jan. 12th '08. I'll be coming from Ft. Collins so will be going directly there, so what time will most be arriving?

Also, if someone could email a phone # I could contact for confirmation the norning of the shoot or maybe the day before for any cancellation possibilities. You know, three feet of fresh snow, Marshal law, etc.

Plan on bringing a Colt CAR A3 Hbar Elite and a couple of Ak47s.

0900-1030, Give or take. I do try and get posted the night before or early in the morning, with the latest weather and if it's still on or not. Most of the time the F/O's get in a couple of days before with a snow report.
Just double check the post before You leave.

Whoops, just saw this.

I was at the north site Friday afternoon, and much of the exposed portion was melted dry or very close to it.

Of course, who can say what the storm coming through is doing today, but I imagine the winds up there are hammering anyone today.

Thanks vim. Between the wind and the forcasted snow, we bagged shooting and went out to the Crossroads show today - pretty crowded. Hopefully weather will cooprerate next Saturday and we'll be able to shoot then. [HiFive]

Also, will probably be bringing my daughters (wife out of town). One is 15, the other is 9. Any problems with kids coming as long as they know the rules? What about kids shooting?

To be honest, at the moment My foot is killing Me, So I'm not 100% sure if I'll make it, If Rae Ann wasn't working, I'd make Her drive. I'm not sure about Dozer going that far, He does good around the block, I'm just not sure If I trust Him on the hiway yet.

Sounds like North is going to have some considerable wind chills! Any snow that is still there will have drifted with those winds. I'm bailing out on this one!

It is just north east of Bailey there is no way I can describe how to get to the range. It would not be very close for you since you live in FT Collins.

I was able to drive all the way to the range it has been driven many times and was not bad at all.

I had a good time funny how knowledge can turn a person around from being a flaming liberal retard.

The day started out with the typical liberal mentality.

By the end of the day she made a list of all the guns she shot and which ones she liked the best. Then went from the above mentality to this.

Ignorance is not always bliss some can be shown the light. The biggest thing I had to overcome is a boyfreind she had before the one she currently has was a jackass. He took her shooting and the very first time she ever shot a gun he gave her a 12ga and had her put her shoulder up against a tree and shoot it. I don't have to tell you that she never wanted to even look at a gun again. I would like to kick that asshat in the nuts.

Hell that would probably bring a tear to my eye. I bet her current boyfreind is not happy he missed out but I did not want any distractions while teaching her. She was putting a ten inch group out of a glock 27 at about 20 ft. by days end. She also could not seem to load mags fast enough for the M16.

Oh yeah and Rosie, Sarah and the rest of the libs can eat their heart out!

The best part of it all though...we had the whole place to ourselves. and that was nice and all even though I had come out on that day specifically to try to interact with COAR15. Oh well, maybe see you at the next one.

I'm not sure what it says that about the club when this Liberal Democrat is able to drive from Denver and get in a good clear day of shooting (my new CMP M1 carbine works wonderfully), but I'm pretty sure it isn't good.;)

What time were you up there? I was there from about noon till about 1:30. Then the cold wind started again. A few people came and went, but no one from CoAR.
Glad I found the place, not too far from home and a nice place to shoot. I think I will build a few target stands to donate.

He was there when we arrived, shot pistol and rifle for a bit and then left. I guess we missed you probably by 15 minutes. Had probably 6 others come and go, none from CoAR. Maybe next time......
If the weather's nice, I might try to talk the wife into going, but don't have any idea if Saturday or Sunday. Depends on the rest of the week.
