I like them too. I had one in my youth that I would shoot until it wouldn't function anymore and then clean it up and do it all over again.

They are a minor pain to strip down, don't have the aftermarket of the 10/22, and can be finicky about ammo (no Winchester or Remington in mine). However, they also tend to be inexpensive on the used market (my VG condition '86 was $85 with cheap 3-7x20 Tasco scope) and the stock accuracy is pretty sensational. At my 25 yard indoor range last week I shot repeated 1/4" 6-shot groups with cheap Fiocchi ammo, said lousy scope, and shooting off sand bags. With a bit of work I think that can be improved...

I have one and can't spend enough time shooting it. Put a $24.00 scope on it and it shoots great.

Talk about reviving a thread. I'm down to one now. Gave the other to my nephew.

I highly doubt i'll ever find reason to get rid of my Model 60.

I have a Glenfield copy of the Marlin 60, and a beautiful Marlin 60DLX, both bought from members here. Both are marvelous shooters, very accurate. They just need much larger magazines, I can empty them too quickly. Wish I knew of a patch of woods in the country loaded with squirrels.

It was my first gun, I learned to shoot and hunt with it. Then years later I had to sell it to make rent. I bought a used one years later. It's accurate but it's just not the same. I still have it, but I'm thinking of selling it.

Got a scope and bipod for mine, now 15rd doesn't feel like enough.
Still love it though

Never had or heard a complaint about one.
