View Full Version : The NFL as the catalyst for a Brady Bunch Utopia...
Does anyone believe a single word of this? It appears that there is an agenda afoot...they said it, so therefore it must be. Proof? Validity? True? "So to all you little linebackers out there, look and see what your "Heros" are doing...turning in their guns because they're BAD!" And who the hell says, "I don't trust myself with these guns in the house. Please take them away." At least take them to Mass and get a free flu shot for crise sake!

Oh, and happy 100th "contributing post" to me. [Beer]

Well, if you don't trust yourself with guns, by all means, turn em in.
Hmmm.... "at least 7" out of 1800+(just counting the active rosters and not the practice squads)...doesn't sound like a landslide of support to me.

The NFL should have some kind of free gun safety/training program like they do with their rookies on handling all the new found wealth. Hell if 3 out of 4 have them, then it would be a good thing right?
Agreed, but NFL players "turning them in" just doesn't sound plausible. Sell, give away, trade, OK, but "turn in?"
BTW, the "Voluntary Firearms Turn In Point" just happens to be co-located with my house...
I think it would be great if they said "I will not turn in my guns, because our constitution gaurantees me the right to own one. And I will not sacrifice freedom for security, because I will get neither. How does it feel to stand in the blood of victims whenever you want to push you gun ban agenda? Do you ever get sticky? You are a horrible person and you make me sick." But that is just me and that is what should be said but chances are they will cave in a political way that brings shame on the whole sport of Football.
I guess I'll have to start watching Soccer until they bring back the XFL.

7 Players out of 1800+ turn in their guns and now all NFL players are implicated?
Ooooh-kay.

No they moved the Turn-In box from your house to mine. I have a box set out front for curbside drop off.

Ooooh-kay. I mean if it becomes wide spread. Or mandatory.

You guys are both behind the times. The dropoff location has been moved to my shop. Each operable weapon turned in will receive a free chocolate chip cookie. People attempting to turn in toys, rusty junk, or cheap crap will be ruthlessly mocked and ejected. No cookie.
How many have stopped using steroids?
They might want to think about where their paychecks come from. Get the nose out of a politically charged issue that could bite them in the ass.

It would be interesting to know if any of those "turned in" were in states where gun transfers must be approved/tracked/handled by FFL only, etc.

I have also placed a turn in box in front of my house for the COLORADO SPRINGS area...also serving Pueblo and those other one stop light towns out east.
You may also turn in unwanted ammo....good calibers please, nothing exotic that I cant use..err that would be hard to "Dispose of".
Open 24 hours a day.

I got dibs on SW Fort Collins.
Every time there is a gun turn in, we joke about, and sometimes real stories are told of people showing up, standing in line, and buying a gun for a great deal from some schmuck turning the gun in. However, with Colorado's stupid "gun show loophole" law, wouldn't that be considered buying from a gun show without a background check?
Not exactly related, just thought I'd ask.

Yes. 3 or more people make a gun show. And yes the gunshow law is BS.

Forget driving anywhere to turn your guns in. I will come to you and pick these up for free. Every 5th stop gets a free lap dance from the stripper in the back seat of the car.

see that tells me you just have to show up first and shoo people away as soon as you buy there guns :D

Unfortunatly yes. The media puts their own spin on it and all of the sudden 7 is landslide support. I can assure they will not show the full numbers.
Idiots.

I keep mine in the trunk. Keeps them from getting any ideas of escape.
I read somewhere that the NFL has one of the highest numbers of gun ownership among celebrities... Of course Ted Nugent was excluded from the survey... [Coffee]
