Bob Munden Passed Away

Just saw on a couple of other boards that Bob has passed away. Could not find any more details right now. I believe that he was diabetic, and am assuming this was a factor. I really enjoyed watching him shoot.

I've seen reports on his death on other forums (which are repeats of hearsay) and his wikipeda page lists 12/10/2012 as his date of death.

That said I can't find a single news report anywhere on the net saying he died and his web site hasn't been updated to reflect that (which I wouldn't expect only a day after his passing).


While I have no reason to believe this news is false, I'm going to withhold my condolences until I'm convinced he's actually gone.

R.I.P. I lived for the outdoor channel. Just to watch Bob Munden and Byron Ferguson go at it. Coins, dimes, then an asprin. Bob was awesome!!

His family posted the news on his Facebook fan page. Staggering loss to the firearms community. Many saw him as arrogant, but he was and always will be one of the best. He influenced so many people.

I remember one of the shows on the Outdoor Channel, probably Impossible Shots that he graced so many times mentioned that he was ill a while back.
He was amazing to watch with his prowess of handguns.
