Since 30 rounder are no go in Denver by my understanding, what are the consequences for non-resident of Denver to be caught with them?
I've passed Denver many times with them in the trunk, I'm a careful driver tho so never a officer have stopped me in years, I've never been had to deal with that law. But what if someone is caught? Seize the objects? Arrest? Ticket?

NONE. You are not a resident of Denver city / county

If you live outside of Denver, you're GTG. It's best to be "out of sght" anyway.

Passing through is not the same as "destination."

I thought a Denver destination (work, school, etc.) was a non-no for high cap? Pass-though was OK.

Where's tfogger with the regs? :D Although it probably can be found in a search here...

Just surrender any 30 round mags to anyone that approaches you, tells you that they are illegal and claims to to be a police officer. Don't bother to ask for ID, just hand them over........

You're not a resident, not applicable. Of course school is a no-no for any firearm or related item.
Regarding the next part of the question, which i am sure will pop up. CONCEALED MEANS CONCEALED.

All 21 or more round mags and any guns they are inserted into are illegal in Denver. But it is an "affirmative defense" for a nonresident to have them.

In other words you're guilty until you prove yourself innocent. If you get caught with one in Denver they can arrest you and confiscate them. But when you go to court they will turn you loose. I've have no idea if they have arrested any nonresidents that could ID themselves.

I thought the law says "innocent until you prove yourself innocent guilty"...... have thing changed?

That only applies to court. Not on the street or at district 1 station house. This also goes to your interaction with the LE you have contact with. Act like an ass, get the fine comb treatment. Act respectful and i doubt there will be any issues. BUT How does a LE know you have any firearm related items other than your CCW gun, unless you have consented to a search of vehicle?? A traffic stop isn't 20 questions / fishing expedition, unless you warrant future investigation. Being the only anglo in 5 points across from a known corner gets you lots of eyes on. Speeding on 70 it's a sign this, thanks for the revenue.

Correct, i should have said, schools in general, EXCEPT where CCW is recognized. Which again are few and far between.

Even that they are trying to ban it, a gal did a essay on banning guns on campus, the school published it on the website. I decided to be the devil and do one on pro-ccw. Then my professor turned it back to me before grading and said it was extremist...

And what about SUVs that have the trunk connected to the passenger compartment?

and TONS of cars have fold down back seats to lead to the trunk ..... point ?

Most police will consider the back cargo area of an SUV the same as the trunk in my experience ..

I've gotten pulled over and cops wanted to search the car ( I was leaving the Strugis rally late after working up there ... the cops were fishing... I let em )

I told them I had open alcohol in the cooler in the cargo area.. they said " thats fine it's not like you can reach it same as a trunk"

Why are you drawing attention to yourself to be in the situation "someone" needs to know you have 30 rounders??

Presence of a trunk is irrelevant to the conversation as there is no requirement for where in the vehicle a firearm must be transported.
