So I just spent the last few months putting this to gather to replace my old site. What do you think, any feed back?

I've always wanted a bad ass stand up shower.. if only I had the $$$ to afford the house for it! .. le sigh.
Site looks good. Looks like some good work as well.

So, do you ever do work up in Longmont? My guy got 90% of the way through a remodel and then flaked. Need a day or two of finish work done...
Also, sharp site!

we have a huge 2 headed shower, but we have a framed glass enclosure, which sucks. I would love to buy the thick frameless enclosure. I probably will in the next year or so.
As far as your website...The pictures should open bigger, in my opinion. It would be nice to see more detail and right now that isnt happening. If you can make it so when you click on the picture, the new window opens about 200% of the original it would be great. Or full page photos would be better.
Yea I agree, will try and figure out how to do this. Thanks

Sure we do, PM me with what you need and we can see what we can do.
The site looks good. I like the gallery, nice work.
I think it's a very effective site and introduces your company and past work, very well. I would suggest two quick things however.
1. Have someone vectorize your company logo, if you don't already have it done. Your logo is your brand, your identity. It should not be a low-resolution home made image. I know this could affect the gradient fill of the sun rays, but it can still be accomplished in flattened/still images like the one on your site, but can also be used for vinyl graphics for vehicles and signs, as well as embroidery for shirts, hats, etc. The crispness of it once it's vectorized, will make it pop more.
2. Shift the phone number up, next to the address, and reduce the overall height of the 3 pictures below the links bar. You may want to add a couple more pictures to fill the width of the page, but the point is to shrink the overall height of that segment. This will help bring the important content, up to front and center on all of your pages throughout the site.
I hope this makes sense, and proves helpful.
Many things but number 1 - drop the serifed font.
There is a reason why every piece of software on your computer uses san-serif, open and 'simple' fonts. Thousands of studies have shown them to be easier to read and simpler to understand. Move to something arial looking. Use CSS if you need to.
More later.

I agree with HBAR about the pics. I'd say slow down the speed they change, too. Maybe by half or so. But it looks great!
Great start.. Also looking to change my standup shower from framed to frameless... Will call you next year

Looks good
Good looking site! Now I kinda wanna re-do the shower at the house...
Do you have a storefront or shop? You have a map so that implies you have someplace for potential customers to stop by. I couldn't find the hours the store is open or if it is by appointment only.
The little map doesn't work for me. It's too small. I think a link to a bigger map would be more useful.
I like the site. It seems to be very professionally done. I especially like that you have your address and phone number prominent at the top.
Your work is very impressive.

I'm going to ressurrect an old thread as I thought this would be the best place for this comment.
I contacted Richard for a shower enclosure on our bathroom remodel having seen this thread a long time ago. He came out and measured and a couple of weeks later had two of his guys do the install. I have to say, I am VERY PLEASED with the quality, craftmanship, price and professionalism of Richard and his staff. My wife LOVES her new bathroom and the new glass!
If you need glass for a new shower, please consider Richard! Check out the website!
Thanks again Richard!

Yeah what he said, overall looks good, not too complicated.
No model shots of your ugly mug kissing little babies in the "About" sections ?

This is sweet. Site looks good too, can you make it so when you click on the gallery it opens it in the same window instead of a new tab?

I just read this whole thread without realizing it was mostly written in 2012. I hope business is going well for you!
ETA Some additional unsolicited advice:
As somebody who has an underutilized graphic design background and produces documents for a 3-star general, I have to to agree. The organization is alright, but with room for improvement. Some of the language is confusing, wordy or redundant with several grammatical errors that I noticed in just a few minutes. I could help you with some of the wording if your interested (I was an English major) but I do recommend you hire a professional web designer like J suggested.
Since we are resurrecting this old thread I never commented on ..
As someone in the industry... I feel about your website probably about like you feel about shower glass in a budget apartment complex. Which is to say it gets the job done just fine, but there is a lot of room for improvement.
Sorry to be the one nay sayer here. But like glass work... You get what you pay for.

Oh snap!
Not in the IT or interweb industry (I just post sand for peoples crotch), but I would say you are at a minimum repeating yourself in the web page. You have a link for mirrorsandglass and then a Glass and Mirrors link. Then window glass and Windows.
What you want is a website designer who needs a nice set of windows, showers or whatever. It's what I did. Though with cars. Traded some serious car repair for a web page.

Hey J do you need a new shower door?
Thanks for looking folks. You are right, I'm more a glass guy then a web designer. I wrote most of the content myself and had someone do the basic layout. Some of the wording I paid a company to do based on SEO stuff. Basically I think I paid for shit I could have done myself. One day when I have the time I will revisit the site and try and update it.
Thanks again for looking.
In the mirrorsandglass, how far did that hole go in the glass floor pic. Or is that an illusion or something. I'd freak out if I were visiting and went to take a piss in there while drunk.

Sorry Richard! My intent when I resurrected this thread was to give you props for your work and craftsmanship and not have people give critique/criticism on your webpage.

So I am not the only guy who monitors hits to his website on a regular basis. Does your website traffic corrilate to calls for business?

I track hits with Google Analytics and I have no idea if they relate to any calls. Analytics used to give you the location of the hit but not anymore after the spying scandal.

I am using google analytics and I still get location.
I get about 100 hits a week right now. But I don't get anything close to that in calls. And 80% of those are new visitors.
I need a new door- you come out to Bennett?

Sounds about right on the call to hit ratio. A lot of lookers, with the number of sales calls I get I wonder if these hits are those assholes.

good work :)
-don't make a photograph (with an on-camera flash) straight into a reflective surface, it degrades the site and looks really amateur.
-make the gallery photos 3x larger, not everyone surfs the web on a phone.
-the resolution on many of those photos appear to have been shot with a phone (very grainy)....-live large, even a cheap $300 P&S camera will do so much better :)
