Black talon 9mm?

I was going thru my ammo stashes this morning and I think I have 29rds of black talon ammo in the mix. It has win 9mm Luger head stamp, brass case, and the black bullet that looks like what google images has for the black talon line. What is this stuff worth these days ? Is it worth keeping ? I'll post some pics in a bit.

Was replaced by the similar, but slightly better Ranger-T. Mostly changed because the name was too "evil sounding". It was ahead its time in effectiveness when it came out. Full un-opened boxes of it are considered collectible. If you still have the box, it is probably worth something, even so if you don't have the box. I don't think you will be getting rich off of it though.

This. More of a novelty, just like the chicom " steel core" 7.62x39 ammo. if there's a market there's a buyer. Flip side is, it's paid for keep it.

Not trying to get rich off it, I know people search for this stuff though. I use modern hp rds so it really serves me no purpose. I don't even know where it came from, just showed up in my stash.

Don't ya hate that? "What's this? And where/when did I get it?" Makes a guy feel old. I found a whole ammo can full of bandoleers loaded with WWII armor-piercing .30-06 rounds, all on 5-rd. M1903 stripper clips. Full bandoleers, all authentic WWII stuff, even have the black safety pins on the straps. I had to stand there scratching my head for a while, doing the WTF? thing. Still no idea who I got it from or when, or what price, or even what forum I found it on. No, it's not for sale.

But the Black Talons - I have a full box of those in .357, original box and all. They're a cool item on a display shelf, and probably somewhat collectable, but probably not worth a helluva lot. And yeah, the bullets DO look exactly like the Ranger SXT's, only black. Some people claim SXT stands for Same Exact Thing.

Last time I was at Tanner, one of the vendors was selling 9mm BT for $1 a piece. Who knows, maybe worth a bunch 50 yrs down the line to some ammo collector.

I think they look pretty cool with the black bullets, I might keep them around for a while after all.

Back when they were still on the market, a friend of mine bought some in .44 mag for deer hunting, and he said the accuracy of them was lousy. I don't know if he ever did try them or not, I got the feeling he didn't want to risk using them for deer.

Ya, I bought some 9mm, 40 S&W, 357 mag, 44 mag, 357 sig. Shot some of the 357 mag, 9mm and 357 sig. Put the rest away for SHTF. It goes BANG but, like I said not impressed. The expansion was very inconsistent, and didn't seem to have very good penetration on light steel. Tried a few different pistols, same result.
