Check this out! You don't hear this on the national news!

Scroll down a little for the story and local news clip.
This incident was the last straw. I am going to take a ccw class myself
Shoot Leif (spliefy) or myself a PM. We have a CCW training business that is an industry partner on this site.
it is in Denver, but the instruction and the COAR discount make it worth the drive.

That guy is the epitome of the law-abiding, permit holder. Hats off to that young man.

I used to leave my CCW home most of the time. Lately I have been carrying EVERYWHERE. Even on my walk with the dog this morning.

He's a great example of what we should all expect of ourselves when carrying. I hope I'm never put in a similar situation but if I am, I hope that I can act with as much clarity as he was able to.
Good stuff all right there. Well if the Media won't report it I will just post it all over! [Tooth]

Props to him!
I too am starting to carry my CCW everywhere (or will be now as I was lazy about it and only carried when convenient). I hope and pray, that if I am ever in a situation like that, that I have the courage and wits about me to think clearly and do what is necessary without anyone else getting harmed. But until someone is put in that situation, they'll never know how they are going to react, so all they can do is train train train and hope the muscle memory kicks in when it needs to.

It won't get reported because he refused to be a victim, but he knew his limits and capabilities. He was thinking safety and security the whole time. That is exactly the opposite picture the media wants to paint gun owners.
65 yards??? Jim would have taken it. [ROFL2]
Seriously. I think this is why many of us carry. Only a crazy person wants this to happen; but only a prepared person can respond. I have forwarded the story to several people. Maybe when enough blogs pick up the story it will get some traction.
Be safe.

The web site of the news station reporting it isn't good enough?

You need to get a shower gun

You need to get a shower gun
Just keep a small mouse gun in a ziplock hanging under the shower head. That should give enough firepower to get to what's stashed under the toilet tank lid!
But talking about verifying the story, pick any other random story out there in the media. Find 100 newspapers, and guaranteed that 95% of them has the same reporting, since they all just run AP stories.
