Hello All- I recently purchased an old Smith .32-20 Target hand ejector. As you can see it is finished challenged. I am thinking about getting it reblued (please no discussions about whether to do or not) and wondered if anyone had any experience with TJ's refinishing services. Or if there is another Fron Range shop you recommend. Thanks.

I had them do a polish and blue job on a Rock Island 1911 that I'd customized, and I'm very happy with it. Cost was $250, I believe, seems like I had them do some other work to it as well.
If you want a really special quality job, you might see if S&W has a custom shop, and I know there's some specialty refinishers out there, but TJ's is local. Be prepared to give them a few weeks though.
Photos - the one on the left, in it's original finish after my mods.

I've had good luck using the Colorado School of Trades. You can print a 50%-off coupon from their website, and you're helping someone learn the trade.

Gun is too old for S&W to work on, plus I would like to stay local if possible.

Centennial isn't far from Parker, I'd be happy to meet you and let you look my 1911 over in person. Just LMK.

^^^^^^^ Second this.
Friend swears by TJ's and has lots of colts worked over there as well as most of his rifles. I handled one of his colts that had been re- blurred, I think by TJ's. Beautiful.

BTW - I don't know if Bert does rebluing, you might ask him. I don't recall seeing any of that stuff in his shop, but I didn't ask either.

I know he does parkerizing, not sure about any other finishes. Best to ask him directly.
