On a lighter note, the Broncos are killing it! Nice to get my mind on something else for a few hours.
Poor, poor Ravens fans...
Ravens don't stand a chance. BRONCOS!

Sounds better than a Big Mac.
I actually purchased five squares in an office pool. I haven't watched a game in years. It is on in the other room, but no point in watching, as that won't affect my chances. Anyone happen to know the ending scores of each quarter?
That was a BS call. Down by contact. He just threw them a bone because they're getting spanked so badly.
?.. the Broncos are killing it!
Totally... This is awesome

9 in a row folks!
And people thought I was crazy when I said before week 5 that the Broncos would win out...
Two more games to go... and they have fewer wins COMBINED than we do total... [LOL]

Broncos the real deal now. They can certainly improve, and need to (kickoff coverage, for example). But they can run and pass, run the hurry up, protect well, have a legit pass rush, solid at LB and ball-hawking DBs. They can go far, and I think, have a legit shot at the super bowl - but will need the win of the year in Foxboro to do that. If they win out, does that mean they will have the #2 seed and first round bye?

If they win out the Pats will be coming to Denver since they lost last night.

Yep, sure does. That win last night by SF means the Broncos control their own destiny as far as seeding goes. If for some reason they drop a game to the two smack tards coming up (KC is NEVER a push over BTW and the one game week 5 I warned everyone I was most worried about and they damn near lost) and end up with the same record as the Patriots then the Patriots own #2 since they beat the Broncos straight up to get the tie breaker.

I'm not entirely sure I want a first round bye though. I'd hate to see the Broncos lose this immense amount of momentum that they have right now.
Peyton IS Momentum. I think the extra week of preparation would help through the entire playoffs.

Honestly, I don't see either way harming them and can see pros from a bye or playing week 1. The Broncos are getting better with each game so playing a game at home opening round could help even more with timing and familiarity. A week off could be used to rest up and prepare for the next opponent and get one game closer to the Super Bowl w/o even playing and even though I think the Broncos can beat NE in Fox borough this time 'round I would much rather see them come here for a Denver win before getting prepared to go beat the Texans in Houston to get to the SB.
I think we would do very well with a first round bye. Get some rest, watch some film, come back strong and ready, beat up on teams that haven't had a break.

I agree that #2 would certainly be better but if it didn't happen I still wouldn't be worried about Denver playing the first round. I really like this Denver team and haven't felt like this since the late 90's. Keep in mind that a scenario where Denver could rest it's starters the last game to prepare for the first round would essentially be the equivalent to a bye in week one. That would most likely require a loss next week rather than the following week though and I don't see that happening. Just saying there are a few similar scenarios. No matter how the last couple of weeks play out I like Denver's chances to play in the Super Bowl this year and they're just going to keep getting better and better as other teams are peaking and even regressing. I said it before the season started: Denver will start out rough with this difficult schedule but will continue to improve every game they play with their best football starting at the right time of the year... as the playoffs start. So far they're on track for that prediction.

Yes. Our play is overall very good. There are still some disconcerting issues, but each game looks more complete. With the Patriots and Texans showing weaknesses the last couple weeks, if the Broncos can take care of business the next couple of weeks, I think we'll be in very good shape.
