So I have never saved brass before.... so why would I? Other than reloads? Can I sell them? Do they have to be in good shape or does it matter? Is it worth picking up old brass from the range?
thanks in advance
Rob

It is always appreciated when you pick up after your self.

If the brass is in good shape, you can reload or sell, which ever seems better to you.

Be safe.

You may want to start reloading some day most of all. Besides we may not be able to buy ammo (fear mongering) and you'll be glad you hung on to it. I always pick it up. I'll give it to a reloader if nothing else.

To be Eco-friendly, then I would dispose of the brass for you, in a green manner of course...

Save as much as possible, sell here than donate the proceeds to ..............the web site. After all this site enabled you to ask the question, that sold the brass to donate to the site. Karma.

I keep all of mine. I'll probably end up selling it here when I get a decent amount stashed.

even the steel stuff, shotgun hulls. don't just leave it as trash.
I keep a scrap iron bucket in the basement and recycle it when it gets heavy.

I always pick mine up (plus alot of others) I just wanted to know if it was worth saving. most that is not mine is crunched. Can that still be sold? I mean how much can you get of say a 5 gal bucket of crunched brass?
Thanks

Take it to metal recyclers, you would be surprised at the scrap brass prices.

This. They give brass credits, which I think its currently up to $2.50/lb. But, you have to ship it to them, and in a USPS flat rate that costs about $14. But, if you pack it full I think it'll hold about 20lbs of brass.

I always pick up my brass just to keep the range clean. I know for a fact that my range picks up brass and then sells it, so since they didn't pay me for it, I'm not letting them profit off of it. I have several thousand rounds of .223, several thousand of .40 and am starting to gain a collection of 9mm and .380. I don't reload but if my fiancee starts shooting more, I might be able to justify the cost to her.
