I have a nice SOCOM II that I've had for about 2 years(pic below). I really Like some things about it and don't like other things about it. I was thinking about selling it and buying a higher end (POF, LWRC, PWS...ect) piston AR-10. What do you guys think?

What does an AR-10 offer that your SOCOM II not have and you want?

AR-10 is a little more accurate and lighter.

I like the piston AR's because they're more reliable and take less time to clean.

I personally like SA products a ton. I love the M1a and would take that in a heartbeat.

I've owned both of these guns. If you're not looking for better than MOA accuracy stick with the SOCOM. I think it's a pretty decent trunk/truck gun. Mine pulled double duty as a quick open-sights/red dot texas hog gun.
AR-10 obviously has a whole mess of advantages over the Socom when it comes to modularity/optics, weapons manipulation, accessories etc. I absolutely loved the SOCOM. Bottom line is the AR-10 platform is gonna do everything the SOCOM can and more.
