Was this supposed to be a mass shooting, or was it simply a crime involving a gun where one or two people were shot?

Just trying to figure out if this is a "mass" shooting, or if every little bullshit firearm altercation is going to make national news this weekend.

I'm hoping for the latter.
To me this is completely expected. There is a HUGE agenda at work, they need as much fuel added to the fire as they can get.
I am already seeing the deluge of idiotic statements being made in the comments sections of every news article concerning the subject. There is no arguing sensibly without seeing the name calling and insults being dished out. I refuse to take part in any of that. Not worth it at this time.

Here let me point out the obvious-
SAN ANTONIO -- Two men were transported with unknown injuries following a shooting near the Santikos Mayan Palace 14 theater complex late Sunday. The shooting ended with a deputy shooting the suspected gunman, confirmed Lu Antu, Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesman.
The shooting occurred just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
Antu said the suspected shooter shot a man at nearby China Garden, located in the parking lot of the 1900 block of South West Military Drive. The shooting then moved toward the Mayan movie theater, where an off-duty Bexar County Sheriff's Office deputy working security saw the suspected gunman armed.
Antu said the deputy shot and hit the suspected gunman. Both shooting victims were not immediately identified by Antu. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is the lead agency in the case, he said.

Yea, I think so too. Just like that other shooting that was posted yesterday in Las Vegas, it was just another instance of gun violence.
All I can say is that I'm ready to get home, hug my Fiancee, then strap my pistol to my hip.

Easy people. Dont get baited into the debate over gun control. We pick our battles, and on this one we have to lay low. I was taking down my Christmas decorations today. My liberal neighbors asked why. Out of respect for the kids in CT.

We're not gonna pick this battle. It's gonna get picked for us. And why lay low? What is going to happen is going to happen with or without input from you or me. I'm not going to lay low on this or anything else in which I believe. I'm still going to promote shooting as a sport, as a means of personal/family defense and as recreation to those who are interested. I'm also going to promote semi-automatic handguns and rifles as some of the best tools for all of those activities. The liberals and anyone else can kiss my ass if they don't like it.

Some facts are coming in-
The shooter was having relationship problems with his girl, who worked with him at the China Garden Restaraunt, across the street from the theater.
He shot into the restaurant then reportedly shot randomly in the theaters direction
He opened fire on a patrol car
He was put down by a female off duty deputy working at the theater, who shot him four times
Shooter is alive and stablized
So I guess we should ban relationships, they lead to gun violence

You realize that you're telling gun owners to play the victim right? You also realize that this isn't how we're wired?
And no offense but I have no clue how taking down your Christmas decorations honors the victims in Sandy Hook.

This is not a "mass" shooting... The definition, by the DOJ as of sometime in the 60's, is a shooting that occurs where there are 3 or more people shot. Oh, remember Chicago, that wonderful place for gun owners (/sarcasm)? 10 people were shot and killed, including two kids under 18, on Friday night. There is gun violence all the time, but should we be surprised if it happens predominantly in "gun free" areas?
