Damn beat me to it by 7 minutes. I was no fan of this crummy show but its ironic that a show that features the making of guns, many if not most will end up in a safe and never fired again, gets canceled yet Hollywood continues to produce movies and TV shows that show guns being used to kill countless individuals.
No real loss there, but it should have been cancelled by poor ratings or at least some other reason than and over-charged emotionalistic response to something that has nothing to do with firearms other than they were the chosen method of the terrorist. I'll bet they wouldn't cancel any NASCAR broadcasts or ban automobile commercials if the terrorist had driven a Monte Carlo through a line of 50 kids waiting at a bus stop.
Rich Wyatt was supposed to be on Peter Boyles show this a.m. He didn't show maybe this has something to do with it. Couldn't make the drive without his camera crew in tow.

Additionally, that Jamie Foxx idiot, star of the soon-to-be-released new Quentin Tarrantino movie, had the hypocritical balls to speak out against violence in films.
Actor Jamie Foxx told the Associated Press that the entertainment industry needs to start bearing some responsibility for violent content it produces. "We cannot turn our back and say that violence in films or anything that we do doesn't have a sort of influence," Foxx said. "It does."

Show was cancelled long before this happened. Heard about it a month ago.
I've been seeing Rich driving in Evergreen recently... Big pickup with "Gunsmoke" all over it (and it is Rich behind the wheel). I wonder why...? Sorry, totally unrelated.

Yeah, he's had the truck since I got out of the Army in '10 (first time going into that store, and among the last)... But I've seen him drive by the High School up here just about every day for a little over 2 weeks. [Dunno]

This show has been one of my top citations in communications with the Discovery Channel about how bad their programming has gotten. Garbage like American Guns and Monster Quest proliferated while real educational pieces fell off the schedule. I'm glad it was discontinued and even more glad it had nothing to do with current events.

Well I guess if they got some complaints on the FB page they had no choice. Maybe they could bring back Global Warming videos instead. This time of year we could use anything to make it seem warmer. I won't miss it. When I was at the SHOT show last January, Wyatt and the Giraffe elbowed their way past me to talk to Will from Sons of Guns and Snaggletooth. "Excuse me" would have worked just fine.

Well after reading the article and all the posts in this thread, here is what I've got to say.
The fundamental issue behind these shootings is not media, our gun culture, or video games. It is built-up sexual frustration coupled with some other social issue. Anders Breivik was going through life aimlessly, and had no girlfriend. James Holmes lost motivation for school, and had no luck with online hookups. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were both virgins, and they were bullied extensively. The majority of suicide bombers in the middle east are virgin males, with no hope of ever changing that. I could go on and on, but I'm sure you guys get my point.
