My grandmother was a lifetime member, as was my father. I'm simply a lowly regular member that sends them my annual dues but if they find a way to prevent the $#!&storm ban that's brewing, I'll cough up for LTM in a heartbeat - they are going to have to earn it though, I know they have my dues from the past however many years, spend wisely boys!

You need to understand NRA membership dues DO NOT go to lobbying...it's illegal. The NRA/ILA is the lobby arm of the NRA. If you want your money to go to work in DC you need to contribute to the ILA.

How do membership dues benefit members then? I do not need a new NRA hat, gym bag, or gold foil stickers. I always assumed it went towards lobbying efforts.
