Just want to publicly apologize to any forum members I may have pissed off recently- if any!! As an employee at The Firing Line- I can tell you that we are tired after the last 5 days. It is comparatively insane all day and every day at the shop. Phones ringing off the hook, everybody is buying. Luckily most are patient, but the constant repetition of the same questions over and over again can lead to a little shortness. [word]

I was at Tri-Lakes Shooter's Supply today in Monument and Dan said he just quit answering his phone. He was too busy with customers in the store.

Not us. We were answering the phone. One time yesterday I simply stood at the phone and answered at least 10 calls just right after the other. I learned a long time ago never to answer a question with a paragraph when I can say one word.

You guys all looked dog-tired today. Btw, within 10 minutes of getting in, Dave was fielding 2 calls at the same time. Always appreciate your assistance when I'm in there.

Gotta give you credit sneakerd, most shops that I knew of (back east anyways) don't take care of their customers like I hear you guys do.
My hats off to ya!!![Beer]

As a customer of the Firing Line I am curious as to which employee you are? First name? At least you did not have the crowds 5280 had today. There was a line of at least 20 people outside the store waiting to get in and a longer line inside waiting to check out.

My name is Dave Hanna. There are 2 "Dave's", the other is a little taller and a little younger than me, short military haircut, and a manager. I usually wear glasses, usually wear a colored Columbia PFG Bonehead shirt. Or a Hawaiian- but they are out of season right now!

I went by your shop to buy the SR-15 lower that was in the glass case with the uppers tonight, but was too late someone beat me to it. Oh and while I was there tonight you guys sold a matched set of LMT rifles in a case one in .308 and one in 300AAC Blackout, now that i think about it I think the guy presumed the second rifle to be 5.56 the way the conversation was going hell I thought it was 5.56 til I went home tonight and googled the LMT limited edition set unless there is more than one caliber version of the matched pair. Boy is he gonna be mad thats a $5000.00 set. Though maybe he will be happy when he finds out.

That particular set was a 5.56 and a 308. I didn't put it out but that's what I recall. I'm thinking you caught me at a grumpy moment. Customer-"I'd like to see the Pelican case". Me- "It looks like a plastic gun case- about this by this(I was using my arms and hands to demonstrate), has foam inside and holds 2 rifles". Not one of my finest moments. Mea Culpa. I was wearing a black Colombia fishing shirt.

I was so waiting for you to say see that aisle over there of pelican cases.....(long pause and "your kidding me right?" stare in his general direction.) it looks just like those. Though in truth considering the cost of the set I would have asked to see the case and how the foam was cut for the rifles and accessories too. I'm happy I bought a SR-25 recently, but if I had not I would have bought that set tonight. And considering the cost of the SR-25 that is the only thing that kept me from buying the other LMT 308 you had there.

I thought being grumpy and being an employee of a gun store went hand and hand? Hmmm. Okay.

Just kidding.... Ish
