View Full Version : Gonna be in Denver this afternoon, what gun shops should I see?
Will be primarily in South, Central, and West Denver between 3:30PM and 7:00PM.
Kind of late but the only place over there really is Green Mountain Guns. Wadsworth just north of Hampden - take your first left, then the next left and it's on the right next to a Billiards place.
That's about it in that neck of the woods (that's worth checking out).
I visited Green Mountain at their new location for the first time yesterday. I was very unimpressed both with their selection of firearms and, above all, with their sloppy customer service. I have bought guns from them on two separate occasion and I have sold one gun on consignment through them; this was when they still had the old store. Their prices were very competitive, their selection was better than it is now, and their customer service was socond to none. All those are gone now.
To the OP: If you couldn't make it to Green Mountain this time around, don't sweat it, you are not missing anything.
There is only one place south of Denver that I visit anytime I find myself around that area and that is Firing Line in Aurora. They have a nice selection (especially on high-end 1911s) but their prices are higher than anywhere else in Colorado. I have done a lot of "gun fondling" there but I have never bought a firearm. These days my business goes to Jensen Arms in Loveland.

Prairie Arms is just off of Santa Fe South of C-470. He runs a good shop with smithing capabilities. He leans toward military type firearms, and it is always a good time to stop by and see what he's selling. I often froth at the mouth because of the .50 cal that he has.
