Build party being planned..... early 08

We are planning a build party for sometime early 08 on the weaponeer.net board for locals. Since some of you on here want to build some AK kits, this would be a great time for kit builders to get together. I would highly recommend you chime in on our thread over there. It will make it much easier to organize.....

I have bent 3 flats and need to finish them off and just got an AMD65 - side folder - to do as well. There will be some other kits being built too, so some of you might find something else to build in the future.... I may try to do one of the following too - FAL, STEN MK II, CETME, Beretta 38a or a 1919a4. I think there is some others working on 1919a4s as well.

You will have to PM me if you post, I'm pretty busy and don't always get to check this page...


Oh yeah, possible locations for the party, Aurora, Westminster or Severance.

There is also an AK Build party being held down in the Springs on Feb 23rd. Check out the ARFCOM CO hometown forum for details. We've got 8 people and some observers, some really good knowledge down there. If I had the cash I'd love to do a FAL build. But alas, no $$ to spend on kits.

I'll be at the party in the Springs, finishing up a G kit.

Heck, I might just come to this one too to check things out.

Right now there are two guys with AK tools - Aurora and Severance. The build we are planning on Weaponeer will be more than AKs though...... Jump on the weaponeer board and stick a post up so the other guys will get an idea who is interested and what is going to be built. It's a pity to have CO people of the same mind and interests spread out on so many boards and not knowing what the other is doing.....

As for the kit prices, I saw one last week for around 175 w/ some 922r parts. I paid about 60 for the 922r parts for my AMD and saw a hand picked Romak kit for 130 somewhere.

PS, I didn't see a post for the Springs for the 23th party, you sure it's not last years party?????
