I know some people are not a fan of Sportsmans Warehouse, but I was there yesterday browsing and they still had a number of guns on the shelf. They have not raised their prices and the only policy that has changed with the buying frenzy is that they are no longer letting people put guns on layaway. They had an M&P 40 sitting on the shelf so I put in my application which is running 48 hours at this point. Once I get it I might ask some more experience members how to have a boating accident. Might have to borrow a boat.

FYI - they also get their gun shipments in on Fridays so if you are really looking for something today would be a good day to call them.

I like Sportsmans personally, but when I was there the other day they had no 1lb powder I needed, no SRP, and very very little 223/5.56 ammo. I heard they raised the prices on thier 8lb powder kegs $40bucks, but have not been back to check.

I've always liked them. Unfortunately the closest one is in Thornton.

I love them. Unfortunately the one of Wads closed. I don't see how that's possible, they had plenty of money coming in considering they were a serious drain on my bank account.

Someone on here mentioned that they were unable to sell 30rd mags and assault-type rifles since they were located in Denver city limits. But what do I know.

Yeah, it was located in one of those weird "fingers" Denver city/county has extending all over the metro area. Best Buy across the street is in Lakewood. However, I don't recall their scary black rifle or magazine situation. They got much my gear, hunting and reloading business before they went under.

I was one of the top customers back then. And I knew all the managers. They told me that Littleton store was renting that building and the Aurora building as well. They said the rent was like $32,000 a month or there abouts. And when the economy took a shit, they had tables filled with unpaid invoices. God I miss the Littleton store! Ont of my buddies is head of security up at the Thornton store, I still talk to him when I can.

Big fan of Sportsmans myself. Not the largest selection but good enough. THey also give a 5% military discount which is nice. No price gouging either.

I bought 8 lbs of powder on Saturday at SW for only a few bucks more than the same 8 lbs cost me over 6 months ago.

Sportsman's WHSE (Westminster) is the only big box outdoor store I deal with. Except for one duffus behind the gun counter, I've only had good experiences there.

Do they sell boats?
Yes, they have a model called the "The US Obama Economy" and another called "Obama's America"........but they both sink once placed into water.

I have to agree. They have always carried Berry's Plated bullets and sell them for the same price I would be paying through Berry's. Sometimes they do have a hard time keeping certain items in stock, but that's the norm everywhere right now.

I have always had good luck there.

I have only ever bought 1 firearm from them. Less than a month ago. A little Marlin 22. They were the only ones with one in stock and comparible with anywhere else I check. So I bought it.

Knives, camping supplies, glass, etc if they have what I want I usually buy.

I always enjoy browsing in there and have spent a fair shake myself, excepting any gun purchases. I used to go their to get some HSM trophy ammo my rifle likes, and they had decent enough prices on Speer and Hornady PD pistol ammo that I would spend locally instead of internet. They have a great ammo selection and seemed to have a good selection of reloading supplies. I'm mostly self serve, but everyone I have talked to their has always been super friendly and helpful.

nope, city of denver politcos forced the aurora/lakewood stores to shutdown. then, crapped their pants because they lost over 1mil$ in revenue a quarter because of their "choice to limit assault weapons" and their sales...FLMAO, serves em right
