That's ok, I have the sticker on my back window. One day at King Soopers some guy asks me: "What's Molon Labia mean?"

I cried from laughing so hard....

From the internet.. cause the internet is always right.. :D

"Molon Labe!

(Ancient: mo-lone lah-beh);
(Modern:mo-lone lah-veh)

(Greek: ΜOΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
or μολὼν λαβέ) means "Come and take them!""

(Greek: ΜOΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Always sounds like an INVITATION to just go ahead and "take them"[LOL]

it's all about context. Liberals a. won't even know what it means, or where it comes from and b. really do mean "here, have them"

freedom lovers are all about context.

Literally translated it means "You come you take."

I read an article by guy that was supposed to be one of the top people on understanding the language and how it was used of that time. He said the translation currently used doesn't accurately convey the true meaning of what was said. He claimed that in the context of the time, location and situation the best equivalent interpretation would actually be "Eat this" or maybe "Suck this". As in 'Come and eat my c*m'.

Not being a scholar of any language I can't attest to the accuracy of an internet article. But it sure sounds good.

One Greek news reporter of the day says to another, "Let's just report this as 'Come and take them'. We don't need any grief from the little old ladies."

That's ok, I have the sticker on my back window. One day at King Soopers some guy asks me: "What's Molon Labia mean?"

I cried from laughing so hard.... I would've pissed myself laughing...then I would've sarcastically responded; "Come and take my labia" just to see his reaction.
