View Full Version : Useless Crap I bought Instead of an AR15 and Ammunition in the Last 2 Years

1. Big Screen TV
2. Pro Sports Team Jerseys for the Family
3. Brand New Car/Truck - could have bought an AR15 with the first year depreciation expense if you'd bought a used car or truck

Feel free to add to the list.

This is not directly at anyone in particular so smile or cry depending on what you did.

JMHO, but #1 & #3 are understandable, but #2 is just a total waste of money! I've never understood how anybody could piss away that kind of money on high-dollar "professional" shirts to promote some friggin' sports team and declare your loyalty to any particular multi-millionaire player.

God only knows my wife pissed away large sums on top-shelf Nuggets Jerseys for our grandson, thank God he's over that shit now. That always burned my ass how much those cost.

I've also always been a big proponent of buying used vehicles. Only thing I ever bought new for myself was a Honda 100 back in 1970. The wife, however, is another story.....

You trying to cause trouble flaunting your bourgeois lifestyle, Hater. HEH HEH HEH [Muaha]

I screwed up on the title. The word "I" should be replaced with the word "People". [Stooge]

Yes, I'm trying to stir up shit. [Cheer]

I do not own a new vehicle and I very likely never will again.
I do not own a big screen TV, I cancelled my Comcast TV subscription 3 years ago so I could buy more ammo.
I no longer care about professional sports

No, it was only like $2.50. But that's a few rounds of 5.56.

You think that's bad. I just sold 10 of my PMAGs a day before this crap started. They were all different colors and since they had a ton of these at the BX I sold mine (for cheap) and was going to pick up all black ones. I was able to pick up a couple but they are all gone now so I am way down on my mag count now. All for fashion damit! I just had to have the same colored mags. [Mad]

For the longest time, Rocky Mountain Guns and Ammo here in Parker had a big stack of used USGI 30-round AR mags for $10 each. I kept meaning to pick up a few, just never got around to it. I'm sure there's nothing left of them now but vapors where they were.

I had recently saw an add on brownells for 10 PMags for $100. 30 seconds after I saw the news on the shooting, I put in my order.....timing....it's everything!

I bought 20 pmags and sold all but 3.. 2 days before this happened because my buddies wanted some and they had a couple deals from them on line.. But yes I have bought a lot of random stuff over the years but have been a lot better within the last year..so glad I got wise.. Really wanted an AR10 style 308 and bought a bolt instead.. If I could have that one over that would be nice

new truck, wife got a new car, new kitchen table.

I'm sad I didn't order about 1000 pmags when they were $10 a piece. hell, for the price of my new truck I could have easily bought 4000 of them. probably would have easily tripled my money. then again, Romney could have got elected and the price of them would have went down to $7 a piece and I would have lost...

New house, new car for the wife. New furniture for the new house. Yard equipment for the new house. Broncos tickets and a bunch of other stuff.

Sadly the Mayans predictions didn't come true and I'm going to have to find a way to pay for all this shit now.

Med bills for the wife. Even with pretty decent insurance, still in for over $10,000 in deductibles, expenses and lost time/business. Looks like we still have almost another year to go.

God bless my wife, she is more upset about the lack of funds for firearm purchases than I am.
