What would it take for you to relinquish everything you own to sell out to the .gov and be 100% defenseless?
Would you even consider it?
For me, had I not lost everything in a horrible house fire the price tag would have been $750,000 with no tax on the buy back & a complete income tax shelter for 10 years and a new Shelby GT 500 in my garage.

It's not even a remote possibility so I'm not even going to think about it. The government would go bankrupt trying ....of wait we already are.
Wouldn't even consider it. #1 I would not leave family defenseless and #2 they would only offer you pennies on the dollar for your guns.

I would hate to be sitting in the FEMA Camp wishing I had not sold all my stuff to Uncle Sam.........
Every inflated price placed in the fear of losing a constitutional right is selling out in my opinion. What would happen if we actually united instead of looking out for #1 and not subscribing to the panic buying / selling?
For me selling out is not an option because I might be of an older thought but it seems that people have been selling their rights out for a long time. Personally I feel that this country was blessed since its start but has grown to the ideal that material possessions equal freedom and happiness, I don't subscribe to that ideal.

I'd do it if they'd give me Idaho, relocated everyone there except for those I wanted to stay and allowed me to become an independent country. Then I'd apply for military aid and other assistance from the US and get a shitload of even more cool guns and stuff in the deal.

I have been armed since I was 12 years old, the idea of being unarmed is simply not an option, at any price.
How much is it worth to be a Citizen of the United States? What's your pride and integrity worth?

Brilliant.

Start smuggling drugs into the old States and he'll have people smuggle you a couple thousand m4's, some ammo, maybe a few grenade launchers and missiles?

I'd be willing to sell my guns to the gov if they'd provide a secret service detail for me and my family. Just like Obama will get in 2017. Of course, they'd have to loan me their fun toys on range days. Until then, they can piss up a rope.
They'd have to give up all their weapons first. Then I might consider a buy out.... "Consider" being the operative word.
When those jackbooted knocks on the doors start coming, I hope to be nestled safely away on some substantial acreage in the country. If it happens prior to that, they're welcome to my bullets first.

I would not make a 100% one way bargain for any price. Governments are not known for keeping their words, even when in a written contract. Just ask the north american indians. I would use their propaganda against them. I would meet them half way. I'll give up my bad guns if you pay me fair market value for them. And they must be destroyed immediately as in I get to witness the destruction. But in return I get to keep all the bolt, pump, lever, single shots I want that hold less than the magical 10 rounds. and I also keep all revolvers. (sure why not give them a bone and give up the semi-auto pistols). At this point I have handed in all the "bad guns" and all I have left are "sporting purpose" guns. Which is what the anti's have been screaming about for 20 years, right? So now they have what they wanted. "reasonable" gun laws. So at this point I include that no more guns laws shall be enacted, EVER. We gave them what they wanted so nothing else is needed. And finally I include the nuclear option. If the anti's enact just one more gun law in any way shape or form, we go to war.
this would be a last and final compromise. (even though we gun owners have given, and given and given and gotten nothing in return for 100 years). Beyond this the situation becomes absolutely one sided and all that is left is to fight it out. Talk and compromise has failed by this time.

Yeah but then you've got to also be a Muslim.
I'll call myself whatever they want if they're gonna give me a squadron of F-16s. I get those, next step is taking over Canada. Eh.
Not all the gold in the world. There are all kinds of gun owners who own for all kinds of reasons. I own (at the most basic level outside of enjoying the sport and activity) for the saftey and security of my family, my liberty, and my country. Nothing is of greater value to me than those things, and I mean nothing.

I might be willing to consider handing over everything if they'd ship every POS socialist, anti-gunner, anti-American and anti-Constltutionalist over to France, China, Russia, Venezuela or Iran with legal embargos preventing their future entry back into the US (including the current POTUS, VPOTUS, SECSTATE, SECHHS, etc.). Then again, I probably wouldn't be asked to turn my guns in if they did that.

+1. They want to offer a compromise? How about we give them a counter offer: If every one of the elected officials who has willingly broken their oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution by supporting any legislative measure which contradicts the Constitution (e.g. NDAA, Patriot Act, gun-control bills) will immediately resign their office, renounce their citizenship, and move to a foreign country of their choice, never to return, we will allow them to leave in peace, and not try them for treason.
