View Full Version : Hypothetically speaking
If I were to sell my AR complete lower, about what would it be worth in this currently crazy market? It's a Spikes lower with a Daniel Defense parts kit with an ALG combat trigger. It has the Magpul enhanced trigger guard and an MOE grip. It has a six position, mil-spec buffer tube with a VLTOR Imod stock and a standard spring with a "heavy" buffer.
Note my title says "hypothetical". Please don't PM me trying to buy this thing.
Thanks.
Whatever someone is willing to go. Id say one MMMMMEEEELLLIOOOON dollars!

id give you $225 if you deliver it. Maybe $250, because I am feeling nice today.

[LOL]
What it is worth is between you and any potential buyer. I am shocked at the prices even low end guns are bringing right now. If my personal convictions did not prevent it, I would have made about $10K by now and in a few weeks "probably" be able to replace it all for about $3K. If you put $400 in it (guess) I would say at $800 for the right desperate person. Slap a $500 upper on it, now you are looking at maybe $2.5K. Add 3 loaded PMags and a zombie sticker, probably $3k.

I've seen several complete lowers (and some missing parts) posted for $600-$800. I don't know if they're actually selling for that though.

I try not to sell anything unless I know I can replace it.
No way you can replace it at a reasonable cost these days Ray.
If your jonesing, I will grab you some Cheetos......but keep your lower.

This ^
I'm about 98% sure I am not going to sell it. I fully plan to build a .300 upper for it when parts become available. I have also seen people asking $600 dollars and more for them. I was just curious if they were actually selling for those prices.
Just get yourself a BCG. Everything else for 300BO uppers I have been able to find in the last few days.

Bert is absolutely correct!!! I wouldn't sell it unless your life depended on the funds it would bring in for a medical emergency.

I'd start buying parts today but I can't find a barrel anywhere. Am I not looking in the right spot? Thanks.

Noveske is out?
Noveske is out?
Hmm. Let me check. I didn't even think about checking with them. Thanks.

I've been trying to put together the same thing, Ray. I can't find BCGs or barrels anywhere. Let me know if you find them in stock some place. I suspect we'll have to wait until the panic subsides.
You will be hard pressed to get Noveske parts anytime soon.
ER Shaw 300 BO barrels were still available at Model 1 Sales as of yesterday.
Ha. Much better luck finding stuff today. Just got to decide if I want to build my upper with a Daniel Defense or Noveske barrel or buy a complete AAC upper assembly.
I also found a place with a bunch of Daniel Defense 5.56 barrels in stock.

Huh... They show in stock in three different lengths right now on their web site. I suppose the site might not be updated, but...

I'm looking for 300 short barrel (8.2" or 9"). I've found a couple sites that list them in stock but when you add to cart it says "not available." I'm not in any rush though. I can wait until the panic is over. The only part I'm worried about being able to find is a BCG, but I'm not about to pay $250 for one either.

Bert is right.
The only question I have is about replacement / availability down the road. We cannot speculate on the future, we're just going to have to wait and see.
I wouldn't sell anything unless you already have so many that you're comfortable going forward.
