i don't think we've won. we all need to keep writing letters, voting, and pushing to get back the rights we've already lost and not give up until they are truly not infringed.

Someone else posted a link to another article very similar. 3 reasons gun control won't happen. This commision was one of them. Everyone still freaked out though. I made a pretty penny and will restock when the madness is over.

With all the current laws in place, it is hardly a win! Until i can manufacture and sell you a full auto, RPG, etc. or actually have or 2A truly un-infringed, I say it is a loss.........

Harry Reid is one of the most corrupt politicians in human history ... but he also got a B rating from the NRA and one of his most bragged about projects is a large public shooting range outside Las Vegas.

No I don't trust him, but gun control isn't one of his big issues. I don't think he wants to waste his time or his political capital fighting for something he doesn't really care about.

If nothing new has been passed by Halloween, there might be hope. But I'm not holding my breath.

The woods are lovely dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep.

They are just buying a little time to make some more phone calls. Time to get more murders to outrage more sheeple. They also need more examples to go their proposals. There aren't examples of the murder weapons coming from a gunshows or stolen from individuals.

I think I must have bought a roll of defective tin foil.

I read these pundits saying this a week or so ago when Obama announced the commission. I also read the pundits who said Romney will win big in the election. I'm tired of listening to so-called experts about what politicians will or will not do. Once the next president is sworn in in Jan 2017, I'll know Obama will no longer be a threat to my liberties...as president, anyway.

The commission is going to be headed by Biden. Somehow I don't feel like this will be very unbiased.

Beware of the sheep bearing gifts, for he just may be a wolf.

They are just biding their time, making sure all the T's are crossed and I's dotted.

Or when they realized the pro 2A response, to clear the shelves of every black rifle, magazine and accessory they went "Holy Shit, I feel all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve".......

I would like to think the latter, but I feel the former shall prevail.

Honestly, I think it made them blink. The 2A exists for a reason, and I am fairly sure those that were on the fence on the issue just started asking if this is a course of action they want to take.

That tactic has been around for many many years. You see a force in which you are about to be reckoned with (letters, emails, gun sales, etc.), and you make that force believe you are backing down, or on It's side. The fight is not over, some would say it hasn't even begun. Continue to send your letters and emails, and keep your guard up!

The former. Last time there were loopholes and a sunset clause. They will take their time alright, but it is to make sure they don't make the same "mistakes" as in 94.

It may not be a knee jerk in january, but you can bet they will try something in the next 4 years, wait for the right time, for the right deal...something that republicans want badly enough that they will let something like 30 round mags go by the wayside in a rider on one of their bills.

Michael Moore can kiss my ass. I trust him and respect his opinion about as much as I respect the opinion of any liberal on gun control.

Unless Biden is playing the ignorant role (very well), then I have serious trepidation in his ability to set the VCR clock, much less follow through on this commission.

I for one would be ecstatic if I've stocked up on stuff prematurely and hastily, in the face of the ban talk fizzling out. But let us all keep in mind that an AWB is inevitable on a long enough time-line, and to prepare accordingly. If nothing adverse comes in January, it's just a reprieve - nothing more.

^^^ I agree, I think there just buying some time so they can dig up more dirt, leaving no stone unturned. Hard for them to create some thing that BIG and that quick, and not have loopholes.
I still don't trust em! Bottom line.
