Hey fellas, I can't make the shoot tomorrow, but i look forward to joining you guys in the future.

Few questions:

How many rounds do you guys usually shoot on an outing (how much to bring)?

Are there target stands setup, or do some of you have that available? I don't own any stands or anything like that, but don't want to just shoot into a hill.

Do you guys usually shoot pistols and other rifles and what not?

What else do i need to bring (besides some water/snacks/garbage bags to haul anything out)?

Do you guys carpool? I'm see some are from Westminster/North Glenn/Broomfield, i would be happy to throw in some gas money to carpool it.

I've only ever shot at indoor ranges, i'm really excited about shooting outdoors here soon. I have a new video camera as well and i like to mess around with editing, maybe i can make a cool little video of one of the shoots :)

Just a newbie trying not to show up unprepared.

How many rounds do you guys usually shoot on an outing (how much to bring)? Really up to you, I've taken between 150 rounds and 1,000 rounds for my AR-15 before.

Are there target stands setup, or do some of you have that available? I don't own any stands or anything like that, but don't want to just shoot into a hill. No target stands up there. Everyone brings their own stands. They range from store bought stands to home built to a large box with some rocks thrown into it.

Do you guys usually shoot pistols and other rifles and what not? The way the area is shaped breaks down into 3 "ranges". You have the pit which most people use for handguns. Then the main area is about 100 yards and fairly wide. Off to the other side you have longer open area which I've been told is about 200 yards. I normally take up at least one handgun and my AR-15.

What else do i need to bring (besides some water/snacks/garbage bags to haul anything out)? I don't think you need to bring anything else, at least 1 gun, some ammo, target stand, targets, water, and trash bag is what I bring.

I have a new video camera as well and i like to mess around with editing, maybe i can make a cool little video of one of the shoots :) Overall I prefer outdoor ranges. Video camera could make some cool videos for sure.

The first try at the drum mag worked well, after that it went downhill quick. Time to tinker on it some more.

Just a newbie trying not to show up unprepared.

I've never been to a club shoot there, but the grandson and I have been there a few times by ourselves. I find it handy to bring a 6 ft. folding banquet table and a couple of folding chairs. A rifle rest is nice, a sandbag will work. I usually bring a thick, heavy "movers blanket" to lay on the table to keep from scratching guns.

I've bought a wooden sawhorse at Home Depot to set cans and bottles on, works good and you can mod it however you want, like add a 1x12x48" board to the top to set more targets on. A sheet of 1/2" plywood, a stapler, and a buttload of water balloons are good too! Staple the balloons all over the plywood and get after it.

Plywood is great for stapling paper targets to also. Easy to fab up some stands for it out of 2x4's. Bring a battery powered drill/screwdriver and some screws and you can throw something together pretty quick.

In the summer, shade is nice, consider one of those pop-up thingies. Sunscreen and insect repellant are vital in the summer too. We had to leave early once because of the damn bugs. Water/Gatorade/snacks are must have's.

Lastly, a couple of good cigars and a pickup to haul it all in! Plan on stopping someplace for dinner afterwards, you'll be starving!

We don't shoot glass bottles at club shoots though. Sporting clays, paper targets on stands (no trees), metal targets, etc... Nothing that the po-po would frown at [Beer]

Plastic bottles man, plastic! Do they even still make glass bottles?[Tooth] We always take several trash bags too.
