For Americans to wake up and realize we don't live in a perfect world? That all the laws in the world still wont protect you from potentially being at the wrong end of a gun? People get mad at the thought that you have to be armed in today's society and want to try to block the violence instead of doing what's necessary to protect themselves. I'm sorry if this topic has been addressed before but it kind of fits in with the AWB talk. MORE FEEL GOOD LAWS!!! Ugh. Why aren't people turning their anger and frustration towards the bad guys instead of the law abiding, gun carrying citizens? I wonder what kind of coverage there would have been if a CCW person stopped this from happening? Not much would be my guess...

Because its easier to be told what to believe than actually forming an opinion yourself

I'd love to talk to these gun grabbers and ask them- "So you pass all your gun bans, have your mandatory buy-back programs, and confiscations... then when the crime rate rises, like it has in so many places that have very restrictive gun laws or even outright bans, can we throw you in jail and have our rights no longer infringed?"

+1 coulnt of said it better. People belive what they see on tv and take it as truth.

Aliens... or zombies...

Think about it, in every alien or zombie movie, the world unites and everyone gets/uses guns to save the Earth. All we have to do now, is reach out to aliens or create a virus to start a zombie pandemic and then our gun rights are secured.

Granted, it would kind of be the end of the world as we know it, but I'm sure a few of us on the forum would survive...

The Oregon Mall shooting was stopped when a concealed weapon permit holder merely drew his gun. He couldn't get a clear shot at the perp, but as soon as the shooter saw someone else with a gun, he killed himself. You haven't seen THAT get much coverage have ya?
