View Full Version : movies and video games that cause gun violence
Or don't. Now that I have your attention, IMHO a move, game, or other activity (paint ball guns) only have an affect on those that have trouble decerning the difference between fantasy and reality. So you can't blame intertainment activities you can only blame the mental problem. These people that have committed atrocities with guns, I believe, would have still done something to make a statement even if no gun was available. Timothy Mc Veigh would be an example.
Any other thoughts?

Some kids should not be allowed to play these games, just like some people should not be allowed to own guns. Who these people are is the big question. Society can not be trusted with these answers because as a whole we are imperfect creatures. In an effort to form a more perfect world we created the Constitution of the United States.
Penn Jillette talked about this on that view-like talk show with all those dump liberal women... He used the Shakespeare example, it's fricken ART, you wouldn't blame Bill Shakespeare for the violence in his works, why would you go after video game companies or Bruce Willis? Oh that's right, because those that like to blame other things instead of the criminal that committed the crime are stupid.

I think kids should get to play my favorite video game from my youth...called shovel the damn snow, and not be forgotten classics like:
"Dad's personal TV remote"
"Mow the grass before I kick your ass"
"Raking leaves in the wind"
and the all time great...
"Pick your switch" AKA "The Accountability Game"
