Very sad. I had the privilege of meeting him several times. I don't think I could have much more respect for anyone. Rest well, General.

His was one of the greatest military press briefings in modern Military history, complete with video, both astoundingly powerful and point blank "First we are going to cut it off and then We are going to kill it." World needs more men like him.
Privileged to have served in his time.

Not just a great Commanding Officer and leader of great men, but a great person as well. I used to play chess with him on Thursdays at the MacDill AFB marina (taco salad day) when I was a young Airman. He emparted a lot of knowledge I wish I'd written down. RIP sir.
Man that sucks. He was a good man. I liked working for him in Desert Storm Pt 1.
RIP soldier. You were one of the really good guys.

Rest in Peace Sir. It was an Honor.

It should also be noted that he disliked the label 'Stormin Normin' that the media assigned to him. For that reason I refuse to call him anything other than Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf. Also, if you could edit your thread to include his full name in the title that would be a little more respectful.
RIP
