I absolutely believe we need to contact our representatives at the state and federal levels and fully engage them on the upcoming process and debate. So I'm also thinking about another possible angle to make the California agenda as pointed and immediate for those individuals in California who feel they are going to dictate personal opinions to all Americans.
Looking for input from this forum on if you would support a "Boycott California Now" initiative?
Thinking out loud, but
- Stop personal vacations to California, No Disneyland, no skiing, no Hollywood, no San Francisco, No San Diego
- Stop doing personal business with corporations that are California based ( need to build that list )
Get the basics put together and go national, website, facebook, etc...
Boycotts can be effective, you even have some examples from the Revolutionary War against Britian.
Thoughts?
FWIW, I've snagged the domain name and facebook registration.

Many companies are doing it already, moving out. So are the people (as seen by the huge influx of people here in CO).
We just need to make sure they leave the stupid behind when they move here. Unfortunately, they brought enough with them that we now have some of them running the state at every level. They don't understand that the pile they left behind was their fault, so they make the same bad decisions here. Not sure how to go about that. Probably should have started 5-10 years ago.
And I say this as someone who got the hell out of CA, and constantly have to prove to people that not everyone from there is some hippy big gov't loving leech. If you could just get rid of 99% of the people, CA would be a great place. (100% of the people in Sacramento and SF bay area).

I had to go to socal for a couple of months via the military. The redwood national park was nice but not worth having to deal with the rest of that hell hole (sorry if your offended). I won't have any problem staying out!

I was in southern California for vacation last September and have a business reason to return in June, but we are going to skip the business trip entirely. Have motorcycle friends who take long trips in the summer that frequently involve California and they are going to skip that state. There is plenty things to see and do here in the west without ever setting foot in CA.
CA spends alot of money on tourism advertising in Colorado, so there is a real potential in this idea.
Still researching and discussing this with as many folks as I can
I can get behind this... F*ck Kommiefornia.
This needs to be a viral rumor right now.
We need to seriously start a full national boycott by all gun owners of anti gun states like California, Massachusetts, New York etc. And start an endorsement of pro gun states like Texas, Wyoming, Arizona etc. We need to make sure that places like California start to loose travel dollars in significant numbers. If you don't think it won't work look what happened in Vegas when travel dollars went down, they still haven't recovered. Think about how many owners of some type of semi-auto gun are out there. California needs to feel some pressure that the people they put in high political office (Feinstein, Pelosi, Boxer) are hurting there state. We should start spending our travel dollars only in places that are pro gun, and that includes avoiding Colorado if we go anti gun.
Perhaps the North Koreans will handle this problem for us?

Stop and think about what you just wrote there ... do you see one little problem?
(think about WHERE Facebook, Google and pretty much ever other social media company is headquartered)

I'll back this and put it out on my facebook. Nothing like using their website against them. Like others, I love the scenery, hate the politics. I lived there for 9 months for training and it was all I could do to keep from running every failbama stickered prius off the road.
