As much as I like the titles we have, I think it only fitting and respectful that his title be Changed more befitting his position in the state.
I move it be "Colorado State Representative"
How say you?

Agreed....
Voted Nay to add color to your chart. However, I do agree with your suggestion.

Will he have to put up with that same trash talk as the rest of us folks?
If so then I agree he should be addressed as such....now, does he have any PMAGS and .223 for sale?

I think it is his choice and his alone.
We have the tremendous opportunity and privilege to have an elected official choose to join this board, especially considering the subject matter is against the grain of so very many of his fellow officials.
We roll out the welcome mat in a gracious manner. If he wants a title, it is between him and the mods.

Up to him, although he did chose a name that states his title in it?
I say it is up to him, maybe he wants to be a regular Joe on here, no paparazzi. [Coffee]

Ok, fine. But he still has to have the minimum post count and time as a memeber before he can access the trading post. See? Compromise.

aye, the fellow wants it that is. I dont feel that he should be labeled unless he wants to be. as it was said before, this forum board is full of material that is a bit Risque for some elected officials...not all! but some.

If he wants it, sure. However judging by the tone of his posts I think he would rather be just like everyone else on here. After all he asked he just be called Chris.

Considering the 'against the grain' nature of his stance (which is a good thing!), how about "Brave Colorado State Representative"?

I say he should remain anonymous unless he wishes to be seen if it is the real person.
only after he posts in the "picture of your latest purchase" thread :)
Voted Nay. If he wants a custom title, he'll ask for it himself. Are you even sure its the sam Chris Holbert?
IMO, If I was an elected official, on a site like this, I'd want to remain anonymous for a pretty long while in order to get a solid familiarity of the "regulars". Just like anywhere else you might frequent, if the folks there are unsavory or not like-minded, I wouldn't want my early participation there, widely known.

Let the man choose for himself, some of us didn't get that option for our custom titles.
The last thing he needs is to get in a heated argument with one of the thickheaded members and have the media pick up on it and misquote him.
Yes, the media does lurk on this site more than you realize.

I say let him earn the title him self. Screw up just like a lot of folks have and get a colorful new title fitting his mess up or praising title! [Muaha]

I second this motion.[Beer]
Done... Though he has requested that we call him by Chris... so I have ammended his title appropriately. Hon. (erable) Representative "Chris".
who? wha?
Ditto. I step away for 3 days and missed a lot, apparently...

DONT SAY DEPENDS!!!! Some of us are getting old!
Chris has only posted in one thread that I have seen. Before you get your panties all wet over this, lets see if he becomes a regular or not. I appreciate his pro 2a stance and agreed with what he posted so far. I think his insight could be a valuable asset to this board, but like I've said I would like to see more activity from him before wedging my nose squarley in his ass.

My thought is that most, if not all, of us didn't choose our titles. Ya get what ya get, and you may have a little input but you don't get to pick it. That's usually done for you.
I agree with Fmedges about waiting to see what his activity is...whether he intends to participate here for the same reasons we do or if he's just looking to see what's going on. However, if Fmedges chooses later to plant his nose somewhere, that's up to him. I ain't doing it! [ROFL1]

and the winner is ^this guy ^ .
i woke up one day and i was a stringbean . life as a stringbean can be good , im guessing once the first of the year starts and i start on the second scrapbook ill get the "ninja post ho" or some awful name [LOL]
its all in good fun and a nick name comes with time . that is unless in your first few post you talk about laying down suppressing fire or some other silliness [hammer][hammer]

Suppressive fire isn't "silliness", Alex. It's just downright dangerous. We should be looking at putting in place some common-sense measures to make sure this dangerous, semi-automatic suppressive assault fire doesn't wind up in the wrong hands. You don't need suppressive fire to hunt deer.
