The video works. Just make sure if you're using windows put the file in compatibility with XP3

Yes. It allows you to download free 3rd party apps and games you would normally pay for. It's good for Iphones because you can download Navigon, which is a really good GPS app that doesn't require data plan (internet connection). You can download apps to tweak your ipad/iphone.
