Ther were protestors on 58th. I got in line at 8am. the line still wrapped around the side after I got out at 10 am. Shit was not selling as fast as may be anticipated with the prices. The ammo guy in the back had a line to the fron of building.

Most gun owners have jobs and other obligations that prevent us from showing up in large numbers. Most of the anti-fruitcakes do not have that problem. [pileoshit]

went and bought a "300 round" box of cheap wolf .223.. get it home and it only had 260 rounds in it.. people are scum. Probably the last time I ever bother to go to a gunshow... the small business guys are gouging worse than the big box stores... kinda makes me hope half of sellers at this show go out of business.

Does anybody find it ironic that the protestors are using their 1st amendment rights to try to take away our 2nd amendment rights. Wonder how they would feel if 2nd amendment people used there rights to take away 1st amendment rights. Probably draw a crowd of 1st amendment people with news trucks.

For me, gun shows lost their luster years ago. Nothing but junk or bad deals. Not even worth the admission if your only reason for going was to buy something. Now walking around and looking at some of the old and interesting stuff is okay but if you're going there to buy, you might be disappointed. Of course that was BEFORE! NOW it's probably even worse.

^^^ you hit it the nail on the head there, you could not describe my feelings any better about the junk and jerky shows. they overprice everything then walk around all day bitching no one is buying any thing. and that was before the panic shtf era we are in now.

I agree entirely, but I'm still pro-gun show; I figure you are too. I hope they never pass some bogus law banning them, regardless of the prices/junk we have to overlook. Truthfully, I haven't bought a gun at a show since Feb 2009, and only did then becuase it was a NiB OD Walther P22 identical to my fathers, for $299 with 2 mags. It was a fair enough deal for a good training pistol for the (now) wife and friends who are new to shooting. These days, I still frequent the shows simply to buy bulk range ammo and silver with cash instead of credit... and the occasional mags or spart parts. The people watching is pretty great too.

I have had some real luck at Tanner. I have found really good deals on magazines in the past, but it was one guy and his family. He always gets my business when I go, even if I don't "need" a magazine I usually buy one from him. He was the only person not charging MSRP on the FNAR magazines. I am glad I sold that rifle. Unfortunately, it sold about a week before everything went full retard.

One of the Pro-Gun groups at the Tanner this morning is calling for a Pro-2A rally on the Capitol steps in Denver on 1/9/13 at 2PM. That is the opening day of the new legislative session. I think I'll probably go - we may need a full court press to defeat anti-2A legislation here at home.

Yeah it was crazy today. I was in line at 0740 & got fairly close to the front. AR & AK platform rifles were double & triple their actual value. Not sure who was paying that kind of $$$ for those rifles - but it sure the hell wasn't going to be me. Asshats were selling individual P-Mags at $57 for windowed and $47 for non-windowed. This young kid I saw behind a table in the northeast corner had a fancy duracoat Bushmaster AR listed at $4,600 (had plenty of extras on board). I about shit a chicken when I saw the price and made a WOW comment. The kid tells me, "Got the cash? You can walk out with this today." I quickly reminded him that wouldn't be possible with the background checks taking up to 10 days. His reply, "It's my personal gun, private sale." I firmly pointed out that policy is NOT allowed at the Tanner and it is guys like him that give the rest of us a bad name. I said something to the people at the front running the show. Not sure it did any good, but what kills me it these scumbags are willing to do ANYTHING to make that big $$$. Glock factory mags were selling at $60 per mag too. The only stuff that was priced at usual show prices were the reloading components - which I took advantage of. Other than that I spent a total of 2 hours and got the hell out. When I was leaving at 11:00 there was one blond lady standing on the corner of 58th holding a sign that said: "Ban all assault weapons, save our children!" She had some liberal shitbird media camera on her. I just laughed at them all and drove on.
