Pics?

Visualize a long @#$%^ line 4-5 across. I don't do pictures. I'm sure the media will have a brief blurb somewhere after another shooting report tonight.

You will be outside selling lowers for $1,000 AFTER they've cleared a background check, right?

Also got 2x8lb jugs of TAC for $127 ea. and a set of black Magpul BUIS for $90. All in 45 minutes. Then had to fight like hell to get out of the place!
Glad a few good people still sell at retail.

And 9news was out there filming her........I asked them why and theyre answer was "to be balanced" Hah!

Here is how crazy, I bought 10 30rd Gi mags for 150 and a guy begged me to buy some.......I sold 5 for the same 150.......

The protestor strutted around pretty proud of herself, nose literally turned up and smug grin.

Not a single deal to be had that I saw, plenty of inflated prices though. Lots of $3000 DPMS rifles with MOE furniture and beat to crap USGI mags at $30 a pop.

OMG!!!! Thats the media for you... 1 person vs. thousands and thats balanced?!?!?!? And when they pick a person on the pro-gun side, they're gonna look for the person they think will give them the response they want. Someone that will make the rest of us look like idiots....

I would bet a hundred bucks of Monopoly money that the reporters knew that woman would be there because they worked out a deal with her in advance. I have been going to Tanner for 5 years and never saw a "protester" or a camera crew.

And yes, standard PMags were pretty universally $50 ea, with the windowed version $65 ea. Several places were selling .223 at $1/round. A "bargain" was about .070/round. At one seller, you could get the good Hornady 75 gr TAP for the same price as PMC 5.56 and just a little more than PMC 223.

Several firearms trainers I spoke with were concerned about ammo availability for their upcoming classes. 303Arms said they usually fire about 250 rounds/day for their handgun and carbine classes, but would be cutting that down and spending more time with dry fire and malfunction clearing drills. For the first time, they will be allowing students to use .22lr conversions. Man, these are very different times.

One thing to realize is how fast things go tits up after a panic. Just imagine the panic for a food shortage, when literally everyone is scrambling for whatever they find. I think such a panic will clear out stores in a single day, and not 3 days as some have said.

^^ well the good news is w/ the real fiscal cliff coming, gun owners are way ahead of the hyper inflation. [AR15]

Pay attention folks.. these lines, bloated prices, dwindling inventory can happen to any market at the way this GOV borrows money.

Different how? I've been allowing 22's for years. Cost efficient, easier for first time shooters etc. After 1-2 hrs of 22, transition to the gun they will be carrying.
22, 9, 40, 45 no matter the caliber the mechanics are the same. Shooters have been doing it for years with AR's in 22lr.

I see my bald head back there! Yup there was not a deal to be found. 800 bucks for 1k of PMC Bronze.. uhh no. I did see Ruger 1022s for 235 Which is better than budsgunshop.com they have em for 299 now. I got there about 8:45 and it was about a 45 minute wait for the door. I think i will continue to fight the online lines and get on backorder lists...

I just meant it was different for 303Arms - who up until last week didn't allow 22lr conversions. I do get what you are saying, tho.

Ah Thank you for clarification. Yeah. tell a student you need X 100 rounds of 40 , 45 or right now 9mm and you loose them. I'm say buy a federal bulk pack for $20 and 1 box of defensive ammo in your caliber.

Either way the insanity hasn't even begun. The day fineswine, biden or schummer open their mouth "as a matter of record" on the house or senate floor with their "reasonable" gun proposal's those $2500 AR's will be a thing of the past.

Thats ironic because I am pretty sure they had some very high priced AR ammo at their table. Maybe they were one of the good guys selling at $.70 a round. :)

Was nice to meet Jim when he filled out his paperwork for his NEW Bushmaster at Randy's tables. Good to see Ray again also.

R&S kept all handgun prices as normal. AR's driven by market. Let's not forget the 2 drawings for COAR members only. Btw, as some of you know I help out R&S at the shows (full disclosure).

Ammo Kan maintained their ammo prices and had a line almost all day. Even had 9mm at $219/1000. Good for them as they are standup folks also.

The Ten-X ammo seller also maintained his prices and had a steady line. He sold out early.

OD Green Supply marked up their .45acp to $549/1000, 9mm to $349/1000, PMC .223 to $799/1000. I did not see much buying going on at their tables. Mark-ups do you no good if your inventory is not turning over. Not sure what they are thinking, but it doesn't seem to be working for them.

Several other sellers marked up their handgun prices and it was obvious. I will choose to give my business to Ammo Kan, R&S, the Ten-X guy and others like ASS as they have proven themselves to be stand-up folks. I will avoid OD Green Supply and others. JMO...

I don't think they have a web site. I've bought from them before at the Tanner, but never knew where they are out of. Today I decided to pick up one of there cards.

Dave
12-29-2012, 23:21
I asked them at the Douglas Co show and Zach said they don't have a site up yet. They treated me decent there, I bought some 7.62 rounds from them to see how they work in my AK. Haven't shot them yet, so no clue as to how good the ammo is.

OD Green was selling it or $799/1000. The Ten -X dealer was selling 500 for $200. By the time I got to check Ammo-Kan I think they were out. I think Ammo-Kan & Ten-X had the only decent prices. Course I didn't check the entire show.

after 2 it turned into a normal gun show and yes people are able to walk with guns ,very limited as ffl's have to call it in (they had better like you or its a 10 day wait like everybody else )
ammo kan ran out of 223 by 1130 but they are bringing in another 3 pallets in the morning . ill admit i marked up a few mags (all gone ) but other than that my prices and many other venders prices have stayed the same . as always thanks for the support and see you at the show .

Lady friend of mine, bought a new SW MP yesterday, paid extra for a Phone In background check. She got a phone call this morning of approval and to pick up her new purchase!

I'm not sure which vendor yet, but will find out. Better than waiting I guess.

Unfortunately, they were selling 500 rd cases of Federal 223 (not XM193) at $500 ea!! Thats just....wrong. The ironic thing is at the November show they were selling 1000 round cases of Speer Gold Dot 9mm 124 +P for about $380 as I recall - the lowest price I have seen anywhere, internet included.

A buck each for .223 rounds is pretty dang expensive. However, no one HAS to buy it at that price unless they want to give up smoking a few cigarettes and drinking fewer brews to be able to afford that price. I have a feeling that the prices will only continue to go UP even more! Maybe reloading equipment and components will be the next on the list for a big jump in prices. Sure hope not!!

Saturday was an absolute zoo, the fire marshal was counting heads as they came in the door. Sunday was much calmer especially as the day wore on and the Bronco game started. I found a couple of AK mags, 1 20 round ($25) and 2 5 rounders ($10 each). The Silver Guy was very busy all day.

I'm reading your comment just over three weeks after you posted, and prices did rise! Seems like anything .223 is $0.75/round or more. On Gunbroker XM855 62 Gr green tips are routinely bid up to over one dollar per round! Crazy. My buddy tells me we will see more inventory hit the supply chain late next month and into early March. At that time, maybe some of these hoarders will be out of cash and prices will moderate a bit. That's my plan anyways!

Just a quick aside, it seems that anything lableled "semiautomatic" on Gunbroker is fetching at best what I would call a premium price, at worst it is just price gouging. If you don't already have an AR, then I can see why, but just silly. I am finding much better deals locally (I prefer to buy local), and also found that Gander Mountain has not resorted to price gouging. I will remember that in the future. Supply and demand work, so does competition.
