ALCON,

This is my first post here, so thank you in advance for the replies. It's a pleasure to be a part of the board. Anyways, down to business. I am looking at an Imbel FAL built on an Enterprise reciever. I think that they may have meant Entreprise but simply made a typo. I have heard less than great reviews of the Entreprise/Enterprise FALs. If anyone has any experience with a build like this or could offer me any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Also, which is better: 9mm or .45 ACP? Just kidding. Thanks.

The best advise I can give you is to shoot it. Entreprise has had over the years some runs that were so-so and that applies to the factory built guns as well. When it comes to receivers none have been 100% perfect and that is because of all the variation in the kits over the years.

I have owned and built on just about everyone out there. Imbel kits are type 3 and the good thing about them was they were carried a lot and shot little. Once again the best thing would be to meet at a range and run 10 rounds through it. If it does what it is supposed to then buy it.

One of the things about the Fal is they come in so many flavors. http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/ac44/jerrymrc/toys/nextold-pics337.jpg

I am a lightweight. I know of one member here that has 8-10 of them and many of the guys that got in on the ground floor of kits have 12-15. If one just wanted to collect one of each of the basic models you would have about 14 of them.[Coffee]

I know zip about FAL's, but I can tell already you're going to fit in here.

Good collection. I see you are in CO SPRINGS. We should meet up and you can teach me a thing or two about the FAL.

I am just a hack. I will say I do not do charity cases anymore since the last three that came my way and needed help I spent untold hours fixing the issues only to see the person put it up for big $$ once it was running right.

Buy a FU'ed Fal for cheap and take it to Jerry. He will fix it and then you can sell it for twice what ya paid for it.[hahhah-no]
