View Full Version : Gunsmiths...
My 1911 is in need of a spa day. (Kimber Pro CDP)
Need a new barrel, springs and any other worn out parts as well as a trigger job. A tuning would be nice as well. Have to spoil the girl you know.
I was wondering who you all recommend for a local smith.
Andy at Andy's custom guns in Arvada does damn fine work.
What is local to you?
Denver, Pueblo, C-Springs?
I am in Parker so all three are local to me. I don't mind doing a little driving.
Take it by the school of tradesin lakewood and we can go through it and get her like you want her for cheap.

That actually sounds kind of cool.
Are you an instructor at the school?

actually I am a student.
Could they do a trigger job on a S&W 642 snubby?
I've seen others recommend the school in the past. Where exactly do you take the firearms to? I assume they stand behind the work regardless of the fact students are doing the actual work? What do they charge?
Can they do re-blueing as well? I have an old shotgun I would really like the bluing re-finished on.
Let me know on here of a PM or something and I can run it down there.
