Something that I've neglected in my stores is spare magazine parts and I figure it's about time to correct that.

I was planning on stocking spare springs at about 20%, followers at about 10%, and base plates at about 5%. So if I had 20 mags, I'd get 4 spare springs, 2 spare followers, and 1 spare base plate.

Since I've never actually worn out a mag (with the exception of cheap AR-7 and 30-rd 10/22 mags which aren't rebuildable anyways), these are just shots in the dark though. Anyone care to chime in on my strategy?

Just buy more mags.. unless the cost of the replacement parts is substantially cheaper. Whole replacements are just so much easier to deal with.

I'd say stock the parts. Some folks, like me, enjoy taking things apart and trying to fix them or improve them. While watching the Broncos today I took apart 7 mags and replaced the green followers with new Magpul anti tilt followers.
