Ok, I'm not necessarily one to buy into every conspiracy theory but I found some of this strange. There are plenty of sites going over the scanner recordings from Sandy Hook but this is what my wife and I came up with last night. Open to any and all thoghts from othes who are more knowledgeable on the procedures.

15:55 – “one suspect down”
16:00 – possible encrypted communication – They seem to get more 'excited' as the event goes on. I've spent main years working with VoIP but not radio so I'm curious if this is normal or not. Either way it sounds like it's part of the same conversation.
16:03 – “cut it”…. “clear”
16:05 – It sounds like he says “get his pink slip for his tow form… please”
16:15 – “we’ve got a suspect down”….. more 'encrypted' communication
19:55 – “one rifle and shotgun” - If this came from someone at the scene while it was unfolding I would tend to believe it was correct which would contradict every story so far.

After about 30 min the 'encrypted' communication is controlling the event.

39:37 – more talk before this and after - “any more responding vehicles able to help out with the segregation of the kids and parents”

39:50 – someone is pissed off

Other source –

0:48 – saw two shadows running past the building, past the gym, 'still shooting'???, they’re coming at me, coming up the driveway left side…. This is it.

5:25 – PD has not requested your arrival at the scene yet – To EMS

It all started with the other post about 'strap on your tinfoil'. When I said that out loud my wife took it to mean something completley different. :)

I didn't listen to the entire thing (I've got things to do today) but I'll make a couple of observations,

1) some of the statements that sounded like non-sequiturs are most likely because the dispatch was still handling other calls and internal admin comms (for instance the pink slip comment).

2) The "Encrypted" comms are just that. The person recording this either doesn't have his motorola set on secure or doesn't have the right crypto loaded.

Finally 3) RE:"5:25 – PD has not requested your arrival at the scene yet – To EMS" EMS would not be let onto the scene until it's secure. It's highly unlikely that would be the case with a building the size of a school in any short amount of time.

Even a very good team will need to take time do methodically clear a route from the entry point to the casualties and set a perimeter. This means checking under, behind and inside anything that could conceal a person, in every room EMS would have to pass to access the casualties. Then posting some form of security on anything that has access to an uncleared space.

I didn't hear anything on those recordings that required tinfoil. It just sounded like a shitty situation that needed to be worked methodically.

Good observations Mick-Boy. What about the firearms found and the "they're coming at me" part? I would expect that someone on-scene would easily be able to identify what weapons (rifle, shotgun, handgun) they saw (again this is pretty early but maybe they had already searched the car as well).

As for the "coming at me" piece I can see how it could be mistaken identy at that point but it does sound like "still shooting" right before and I believe it you listend to the full conversion that is after the 'suspect down'.

It's unclear from the context exactly what the officer was talking about when he said "They're coming at me". Heck, he might have been talking about EMS since the dispatch then told the EMS to stage at the church.

As for having someone on hand that can easily identify different weapons.. I guess you haven't spent time around many cops (or soldiers for that matter). Just because someone carries a gun for a living doesn't mean they know a damn thing about them.

Like I said, this isn't anything requiring tinfoil.

I've never liked listening to scanners/scanner recordings. something about disembodied voices freaks the hell outta me. funny thing is though if I'm using a radio, where I can communicate back, I'm fine.
that being said, I think mick is spot on, its a FUBAR incident that is being handled, nothing sketchy going on.

Thanks for the replies; I guess it time for me and my tinfoil to head upstairs to the wife. I need to figure out some use for this monstrosity. :)

Just to add another recent one to the Conspiracy fire. Navy Seal downed in Iran? + Clinton concussion. Don't know the validity of the outlet mentioned in the article though...
