I am convinced Bloomberg is insane.
Once again, blaming an object for a humans actions.

Soon he will attempt to ban vaginas and assholes to prevent rape....

Although he is a crackpot (with good intentions), with his salt & big soda ventures. I would hope that this is just a spin on him pointing out the upsurge in iPhone/iPad thefts and not wanting the blame on his crime stats.

You know what they say about "good intentions", and the road to Hell, hahaa.

[LOL] Let him blame the iphones and ipads. Takes way from the whole gun issue. Way to diffuse and confuse Bloomberg.

Well, hell, I don't know why he hasn't figured out how to keep everyone safe all the time.

Just ban everything.

Yeah I know what he's about, and wouldn't have voted for him if I lived there, even before these issues.

so you are a democrat?
Shouldn't matter, but I'm new here, will I get banned? I'm a registered Independent who's voted for BOTH of the major parties several times over the last 20+ years, incl. Bush Jr. I've never voted Libertarian, waiting until there becomes a viable 3rd party, if in this lifetime who knows. RonPaul had a shot if some of his views weren't a tad extreme for the majority and moderates like myself. Only weak-minded folks tow the party line in either direction on every issue.

What are you, since you asked?

Cool, yep they're evil, but they serve some purpose, just currently too bloated and getting fatter everyday, needing a HUGE pruning, filtering, and rearranging, and OVERSIGHT. I know it's a throw-away, but you could've written in RP I guess. I refuse to throw away my vote, and I refuse to not NOT vote, just personal choice. I also reserve the right to vote for whichever candidate promotes a higher percentage of the issues (out of MANY MANY) vs. any other candidate, that I personally choose, and I don't choose just one issue. All good in the hood...

The more absurd Bloombergs' statement's are the better: when/if he ever decides to run for president, these pronouncements will be dredged up by his opponent.

You're jaded if you believe anything he says will even be remembered or covered by the MSM at all. Remember he was re-elected for a 3rd time, after changing the law to allow him to run for a 3rd term.

ROFL! I hope they try to ban apple products. Maybe then people will realize how insane it is to blame the object and not the person. Finally hit all those gun-hating hipsters where it hurts...in their apple product.

First they came for the large soda drinkers, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a large soda drinker.
Then they came for the raw milk buyers, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't an raw milk buyer.
Then they came for the iPad owners, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't an iPad owner.
Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.

If we took away... But we can't, crime is up and no excuse is going to change the fact that crime is up.

If we took away the revolving door at the courthouse and the prisons just think of how far crime statistics would be down. Be accountable, stop making excuses.

So tired of these jokers and their "If only" statements

I swear, Bloomberg, along with several other politicians *cough*feinstein*cough*, look at a situation and say, "okay, this is the logical thing to do, so lets do the exact opposite. I bet you $200k that we can ban guns, salty foods, soda, and Apple products and the sheeple will buy it up if its in the sake of lowering crime".

There would be no bank robberies if it wasn't for all those evil banks!

Ban the banks!

There would be no homicides if it wasn't for all those evil homies!

Ban the homies!

I really like New York City. I would live there if they changed all of the restrictive laws, lowered the taxes, and got rid of the nanny state politicians. I guess then it wouldn't be New York City. It's been a while since I've worked there, but anyone who thinks you can't get junk food, large sodas, or guns in New York City at this very moment, have never spent any time there.
